I run the game on much lower specs and it definitely works fine. AA is automatically switched off for the cut scenes but this is not a big deal. The only thing you should assure is that you have the newest video and audio drivers and the last version of DirectX.

Patch 3 is out at the end of the month - that alone speaks volumes. That's the featherbrained kind of comment Frogboy anticipated. I would not bother to help someone who starts a flame like this. But luckily there are many helpfull people here who are much more tolerant than I'm <im

e.g. Technician lost his "Former 1st Place" Medal. Wasn't it enough that he lost the 1st place by submitting games while other did not submit for years but sit on their points? Please fix the medals and make a Metaverse recalc for all inactive players.

Originally there was no waste planned. But then they realized that you can have massive changes in you spending e.g. when you research a tech wich gives you a new planet improvement. All planets on autobuild start building this improvement at once. Unfortunately they took the worst solution and changed the game in the way that social spending is wasted again <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/SadAngry.gif" border=0 ALIGN="

8. Make it possible to zoom out even further to make it possible to view the complete map, i.e. something like the tactical view in GC1. For hughe/gigantic maps the minimap view is not sufficient to get a good picture of the complete galaxy and on the main map you can only view a very small fraction. At least on my small 1600x1200 screen Maybe not a "less than an hour" thing but I still hope it cou

Yes, I got my GC2 package in the meantime but I still have some GC1 tasks to fullfill. It is the "Wounded in action" medal and the 100 games medal :p Unfortunately retirements seems not to be suficient to get the "Wounded in action" medal. I guess I have to gift all my planets to the AI instead :SURPRISED:

Final words to this thread. I got the package from play.com. It was the "Limited Edition Tin Box" including the research poster and the ability to get the Collectors Edition Downloads. To do so I had to convert the Paradox serial in a Stardock serial. The link can be found on the Paradox forum. And I did not need to pay custom duty in Germany. But this is not guaranteed. Overall it was a very good deal for me.

1. I would like to have a "Move" button beside the turn button to let all the ships on auto destination move before I do semething else or press turn. In GC1 I often missed opportunities because I could not react properly on ships exploring anomalies, finding stuff etc, because the ships did not move before I pressed "Turn". e.g. when you findd a 25% on tech and thus completed a research. I did not have the opportunity to choose the next thing I resear

I haven't heard any alternatives that wouldn't create a worse issue or require a drastically different economic system which isn't going to happen in a 1.x, that's more of a sequel thing. Hi Frobboy, please comment on that one: <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgCol

What if, instead of the auto-upgrade being purely automatic, whenever research or trade triggers an upgrade event, the player is presented a dialog box detailing the upgrade costs and potential revenue impacts, and offering a choice of what to do. I very much second that. I was very happy when I heard that the waste was stopped in GC2. No

+ Put a cap on planetary influence to remove cheese potential. Hi Frogboy, please give us some details on the caps. What I would really like is a summary of all active caps. In GC1 it took quite a while until I realized that my investments where wasted <img src="smiles/Gasp.gif" border=0 A

I have worked in second level support for two years and I know what you are speaking off. But I'm confident that most users here know that there are always flames on a forum like this and know how to handle it. The problem is that all your satisfied customers have no time to write something here. They are simply busy with the game. Thus I took the duty since I'm still waiting for my package <br

Your are completely right and forget about your colleagues. Thank you very much that you did your own way one more time. At home I have an Athlon 800 with Win98, Radeon 9250 (128MB and 128Bit) and 384 MB (Did you ever try to run XP SP2 on a machine with less than 512 MB?. You don't want that. Believe me.) This computer is more than enough for word processing, image galleries, music, tax c
