Hi Jeff - good to hear from you! I'm afraid there's no easy to digest summary of events; Bluesteel is now Smeagol-O in the Fellowship. I think it's happening more often, Madcat. I'm seeing more Fundi events at maso level and like you, I notice this can really disrupt the majors on a small map where losing even one planet can disrupt their resources. More aggressive minors contribute to this effect. I can't understand Bill's experience, though - THREE civs surrendering before you even make contact??

Welcome back Ralegh - check the "Winning Maso with no Military" thread for other tips along this line of attack. I think the constructor count from Ray is a little off: 4 constructors to turn something into a Terror Star; but I'd go the extra yard and add Cult Max to a Party Palace - which still means eleven constructors in total. Make 4-5 and go roaming the map.... ;)

Jordan - not sure if it's easier, but it is certainly no harder under 1.12. I have been able to a flip a planet occasionally but cant do more widespread flipping without starbases. I think the other posters are right - better minors mean weaker majors. I notice that the minors seem to survive MUCH longer into the game than previously. Also, there seems to be a greater frequency of the Fundamentalist event. When I try to play Pure Good against all Pure Evil, I notice this event at least once ever

Yep Hurls...Ralegh has been around a looooong time - he did a lot of work on the early strategy guide (which was excellent); an old ex-ANZAC originally. Interestingly, I'd like to touch base with a couple of the old crew there - I noticed Jeff DeSilva also submitted recently is unattached too. Congrats Cap'n - but I dont think you actually LOST your Top 25 medal at any stage! [Message Edited]
