I rushed the Gate as well, won, and didn't particularly notice anything unusual. However, I did notice that if I rush-bought colony ships, they would lose one movement. I.e. pre-Artificial gravity, build a simple cargo hull, colony module, no engine. 3 move. But rush-buy the same basic colony ship: 2 move. For the life of that ship (not just on the first turn).

About the tech tree editor and the campaign editor: I don't have C# xp and I don't have time prior to October regardless, but one thing that would be nice is if these editors were web-based instead of necessarily C#. That would enable them on our mobile devices. I tend to actually play Galciv3 when I have access to PC, but not when I am out-and-about (or at least, too out-and-about to have access to a laptop). During those times, I'd kind of like to mod on my m

If the AI goes after more anomalies, then we need more anomalies. They are easter eggs that make the game fun. With a lot of protected anomalies, there could be a cold war with the AI, fighting with both the AI and the anomalies themselves to get them all. On Tiny maps, there are tons of them; but on Ludicrous, there are hardly any as it is.

Not all balance issues are OP. A lot of UP stuff, and buffing them would make the game cooler, with more cool stuff. It's a sugar-coated pill: - Port of Call. Waste of a tile. - Influence. UP. - factory upgrades, research center upgrades. Only get 2.5% bonus. You don't recoup your investment. - Admirals, losing their (better) Fleet Commander bonus. - Planetary defense. - If you

MHO: Torian is the easiest race to start with, because of the Learning Centers and the Central Mine. Artificial Gravity is always my first tech to research, followed by Colonial Settlements,, and my first citizen is always an admin. Next I research either Planetology or Interstellar Travel (depending on my situation), then you need to work your way to Xeno Experimentation. The real power in Learning Centers comes when they level up, so be sure to place them on research

Well I got a reply from support@stardock from a guy named Brad. They suggest uninstalling Crusade to get the achievement. I don't see what the big deal is, just to make sure it works on Ludicrous. But I did get a reply from support. Need to finish Ludicrous map anyway, to get the 10 core detonations achievement.

What can be less entertaining is when humans engage in this alpha-male silliness. With dogs, the runt will eat out of the trash but not out of the pantry. Okay.... With humans, it's the United States vs. North Korea, China, Iran, and Russia. Planes flying "dangerously close". Shooting duds over Japan. Warning shots at Iranian destroyers. Same silliness, but with nuclear weapons.

We had two small dogs, 10 pounds, and bacon on the kitchen counter. I don't know how our younger dog did it, but when we got home, the bacon was gone. We think the dogs worked together; one climbed on the other's shoulder.

With dogs, food is money. Things start to make a lot more sense if you look at it that way. With the partial eating thing, that's because you're the alpha dog. The alpha dog gets first pickings. Whatever he doesn't want, the runt of the litter can have. You partially ate the bread and walked away. The runt (him) gets to have what's left. But if you don't eat it, then it's money, and you are saving the money.

I certainly don't contest Galciv2 and the original Sins being there, but I don't put much cred in this list. I mean, Warcraft 3? Really? Like Warlords Battlecry wasn't combining RPG with RTS before WC3 did? And pass up Warcraft 2 in favor of 3? At least StarCraft made his list. Obviously you can't list top strategy games and not list StarCraft. Total War gets two entries, while C&C and Warcraft only get one? C&C and Warcraft sta

What may help is to break down your own method for how you colonize that kind of map, manage the admins, etc.. The AI has to figure out not just how to colonize every map type, but every mod. I know for me, the bigger problem is the AI's lack of planet invasion. It takes no admin to invade somebody else's planet.

I have yet to get a mega event that turns the game on its head. Just today I got an ideology event that gave Democracy +9, which could have been game-changing if I hadn't been 2 turns away from a culture victory. IMHO, buffing Dread Lords event is what you probably want if you want a new faction to pop up out of dead planets. Jagged Knife IMHO should splinter off from the biggest empire, after it looks like they're a runaway (including if that runaway is you). And
customize try aquatic, xenophobic, and inventive. This works good for me. I heard that the Arceans are the best on the game.
I think Arceans are the best in the game if you have Techapods. Or double Xanthium. Their starbase bonuses are just nuts, even without either. Ditto the Xenophobic. The Iconians are Xenophobic (not Arceans), but I like Xenophobic if you you pick Militaristic in a Custom race to partially offset it. If you pi
