I had a number of enemy planets showing the little red "in danger of flipping" icon and figured I would just let them flip instead of invading them - my brilliant AI enemy had sent colony ships into my territory to claim "extreme" worlds and I let them through. One planet flipped to me, but the game crashed. I reloaded, and the planet did not flip - I figure there is randomness, so no biggie. I noticed the red icon was no longer there though.

How do you bring back GNN report if you close it?
From my experience, ships only end up with more HP than the max, when you are repairing them in orbit. That is what I am seeing. Is that intentional?
I've noticed that sometimes when my ships repair damage, they end up with more hit points then they are allowed. So I will see 9/8 for example. THis seems...odd.
Thanks guys. I see that the laptop to video site is in French and the drivers are listed as "multilingual". Does this mean they are ok for EN also?
Are there cheat codes to win the scenarios in the campaign? I was about 90% done with a campaign scenario when I saved my multiverse game to the same file. :( Speakign of which...any chance of seperating campaign and non-campaign saves?
I've started playing DA (2.0) and noticed that I am getting a number of crashes that appear to be video card driver related. The most repeatable case is having finished the first scenario in the campaign, DA crashes after displaying the "you won" message. Presumably it is trying load a video at that point? I've seen something similiar when I launch a scenario - after choosing my race if I click next quickly DA again crashes. I've got a dell laptop
What is starship bonus? Is it applied to military production or does it somehow improve your ships? You can trade with other empires to get or give influence points. How does that work exactly?
THanks - in the end that was it.
I'm using FF3.
When I try to create an account, I get to the http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=managecharacters screen. I then try to add a character, and when I type a name of > 4 characters I get a message that I am using disallowed characters. I am only using letters and numbers, and I am NOT copying and pasting. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Things just turned pretty badly for me in the Apocalypse scenario. I rush built a bunch of colony ships to have about 8 worlds. Out of my starting two planets, I turned one into an industrial specialist planet and the other into an economy planet. I turned on of the worlds in the upper right into my research world. THe others I generalized with. I focused mostly on building constructers and freighters since my weapons were so weak, though I did build a few warships. I traded t
If I build a ship with a defense of 4/0/0 it is functionally 4/2/2, right? So if I build say a 4/4/4 is it functionally an 8/8/8?
Where should I be building influence starbases? Should I build them so the planets creating the influence are within the starbases's sphere of influence, or as close to my borders as possible?
Well, I added a few attachments to my uber culture starbase in their sector. I guess they got *so* excited about joining my empire that their whole solar system just popped when my now death star came to say hello. Honest, I didn't blast them for being the rebel scum they are...honest! :)
Are the I League immune to cultural conversion? I have 27,000 influence in a sector with an I-League planet, and no flipping yet...
Is there really much point in going after inlfuence votes? Since you don't know what issue is going to come up for a vote, and it could be something pointless or of minor value to you, let alone something you are already in the majority on...
So, you can get and give cultural influence with diplomacy...but what happens to the cultural influence points after being traded? Are they divided up in every sector you own? Every sector on the board? Every sector the AI you got it from has points in? BTW, thanks for your help guys in answering all my questions. :)
So I sent a second game in, and I don't see that one...and no overall scores either...does this information take some significant amount of time to update? Do I need to join an empire? Is it something else?
So, and unclaimed resources appear on the mini-map...and any you control you can obviously see. But, when the AI takes a resource, unless their starbase is in your sensor range, you can't see it or the resource at all! If you have an auto-pilot moving scout or a survey ship on auto-survey discover a resource like this, you may well never notice, let alone keeping track. Therefore, I suggest some change to the minimap to show enemy controlled resources whether they are within yo
Thanks T-man! I see I have the game I played listed now...but my; Score: 0 Metaverse Ranking: 0 are still both 0...do I need to play more than one game to get this to update or something?
Actually, I've got my autosave still - I haven't played since finishing that game waiting for the Metaverse to be fixed...which hopefully it will be shortly. :(
Hmm, I didn't know you needed to register seperately for the Metaverse...ok, so I did that...and got a VB error. -- Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01c2' Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'CalculatePlayerScore' /action.asp, line 336 --
Yes. I choose my alias here "s w" and my email addy, they click submit, and it takes me back to the GalCiv start menu.
I'm also having the same problem. I submit a game to the metaverse and it doesn't show up there. Can we get an ETA on the fix for this? Thanks...
