I get your attitude, but don't really buy it 100%. I don't think for a moment you wouldn't take actions that hurt you business some or cost you some money, but in the end I don't think you would do something that would go too far. By too far, I mean, would you do something to "end the fight" if that mean you business ceased to operate and all your employees lost their job? Would ending the fight be worth one employee losing their job? Even if you lost your company, we both know that would not
YMMV, and since I do not have one (nor the inclination to buy one), I can only assume that the hype and stories were erroneous. I was basing my comments on this (from the horses mouth I would assume) and this
Last paragraph in your link "from the horses mouth" The 240-v charger is optional as the Volt can be recharged using the standard 120-v wall socket charger that comes with the car. Check here: https://forums.wincustomize.com/406242
I was confused too...So it appears it is a taskbar replacement that allows you to organize the apps with less clutter, right?

Just a note to say yours is one of two blogs I read. I have always enjoyed your posts even if I almost never comment (that is just my personality - not a commentary on your posts).

Well, I foresee there won't be a store to go to anyway in the future. Just recently in our town, a Hollywood Video and a Blockbuster closed up shop.

I wish the media would expose the ethanol mtyh more vigourously. Ethanol only benefits the corn growers and the ethanol producers.....what a shame. And Congress wants to require more in our gas. Here is an article talking about how ehtanol is suspected in a lot of engine failures... http://www.businessweek.com/lifestyle/content/may2009/bw20090514_058678.htm
All this just points to the ridiculous notion that business should provide for employee medical coverage. Talk about unintended consequences
Do you mean to say that the government should be providing it? I just can't imagine that would be a better system.
Having said that, doesn't ERISA allow self-insureds to re-insure? Had re-insurance been in place, wouldn't that have at least passed the hit on to the insurer? Devil's always in the details.
That is called stop-gap insurance, which we have for any individual claim greater than $150,000.

For those that like split keyboards, I have used this one (Logitech Comfort Laser) for the last 2 years and liked it. The range is good and battery life is good. My only complain is I wish it was a bit bigger (keys and spacing). http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/167&cl=us,en
So presumably companies will think twice before firing employees?
No, because the mecial claims would still be incurred if they were with the company. Companies cut staff to reduce their costs and this bill increases the comany's costs, so now maybe a company needs to reduce more headcount as an offset.

"The talk show guru Rush Limbaugh says: "I hope Obama Fails". Now isn't that a great attitude? Why can't everyone give the President a chance and at least stop the negativism about everything he does." If you believe the policies that Obama is/will implement are wrong for the country, why wouldn't you want him to fail in implementing those policies? I don't see the problem with the statment.

So I learned from our HR Director that the new stimulus plan has a provision related to COBRA. For those of you who don't know about this, when an employee is terminated by the employer and the employee has medical coverage through our benefit plan, we have to offer the employee the chance to continue their coverage for 18 months at a set monthly premium (usually higher than they were paying as an employee). However, the employee has only 30 days to make this election. Our company, li
Trust me, surgery just doesn't help all that much (been there, done that).
Thats too bad. I had a friend that had a bulging disc that made it so that he could barely walk. He tried to live throught it, but eventually consulted a doc. He ended up going to a surgeon (in the Chicago burbs) whose whole practice was fixing what other docs screwed up. The doc was kind of excited for a "normal" case! Anywa
