One thing that I've found annoying is that after you reach the "advanced" level of espionage, unless you manually lower the spending to nothing, it will continue to draw your funds. I have left my spending alone long long after the advanced stage and have not seen any benefit come of it. What's the point of continued spending if you have maxed out your espionage? :notsure: Oh yeah... GIA? Don't rightly know. Galactic Intelligence Agency? ;) [Message Edited]

I would actually like to see different PQ for each race. I'm sure the Terran and Altarian would have the current PQ, but the Yor might like to have a more metal rich planet (with or without atmophere). What might be considered PQ20 for them might be PQ5 for us, or our PQ25 world with lush environments would only be PQ10 for them (rust hazard). I hope I'm getting my point across, but I'm sure this would not make it into any expansion as it would require quite a bit of rewrite. Maybe fo

Hmm. Could an enemy starbase have loaded the module that slows enemy ships? Is it possible to stop an enemy in his tracks with these modules? If so, I would consider that a bug. Just ruminating... ~SDC~

Tidal Disruptors! The AI outpopulates me almost all the time (setting to high?). Anyway, TDs always give me that extra advantage I need to take the planet without damaging it. Buildings can be rebuilt. PQ is everything. I seem to remember someone saying they used TDs to cut the numbers then, traditional after that. Apparently that caused no building loss. Bug? Maybe, I have not tried it myself. ~SDC~

I got that stupid evil presence event once. It took over a 5 planet system with over 80 Billion people. It took FOREVER to finally capture it. Too bad I just couldn't bomb it from space... ;) ~SDC~

I forget if I've seen anything regarding a scenario editor. Will there be one with the expansion? It would be really nice to have one to play around with. Hex editing the files becomes a real pain in the you-know-what. Of course, this would invalidate almost all metaverse games, but I'm willing to forego the metaverse to play around with it some. Maybe you could still submit to the metaverse if there were some checks and balances built into it. If this map is too advantageous to

When you build a starbase on a resource, the icon for the resource gets moved to the lower right. The AI could have built another starbase right next to it, making it "look" like it was sharing when in fact it was not. Do you think this may have been the case? ~SDC~

I would enjoy the possibility of destroying non-populated stars. It would bring a whole new perspective to the strategy part of the game. Destroy all non populated stars within so many parsecs of my systems... :HOT: ~SDC~

That's pretty much what I did. I had a great starting map, so I saved it during turn 1. I have been starting new games based on that map, but I only had the difficulty on Normal. I wanted to bump it to Intelligent and use the same map. I did get it to work - kind of. I'm not convinced that I didn't overwrite the AI file. I was getting a CTD after turn 1 with the above files, but then I copied the FOW, Influence, traderoutes, and maybe something else (I can't remember) and it's not crashing

I currently have a map that I really like, but I want to bump up the AI. I should be able to generate a new map with the same basic settings, but with increased AI, and then just copy certain files from the old to the new, right? ... Nevermind. I found the files after a little fiddling. Resources, Stars, Planets, Ships. I'll play this a little to make sure I don't have any problems. I post again if I do. I love this forum. Oh, I don't plan on submitting to Met
