Thanks tatic ,that was the first one i found but it only covers the min max buttons .This tip is not specific to my pc and it is system wide.Dont know why it works but it works for other people too,thats how i found out about it.(at the winamp website if i remember correctly.If tooltips are needed back quickly just go to system tray and exit winamp and they are back instantly.(like for a program like Hoppity's that has no status bar.

Also...this is not just my pc,i found this thru google searches.It was a known glitch with those versions of winamp and nice mc.

Fuzzy it has to be be WA2.91 and the correct version of nice mc.Not the latest version but the one released for WA2.AS for readability ,there is generally more info on the status bar...who needs tooltips?When i'm using skinstudio they popped up everywhere and slowed down the program plus obscuring what i was trying to see.When i mouseover a taskbar item the same thing thats written there popsup above it!Just a pet peeve so i figured there had to be more out there that hated them too.

I tried setting those too and nothing came of it.Seems to be aWB4 bug.AT least with Hippy's suggestion you can see what they would look like if it did work.Doubt if the average user is going to bother everytime they change a skin tho.Mouseover text colors dont work either which really limits you when making mouseover graphics or choosing text colors. Maybe someones working on it and we can all update our skins(i cant even get shellstyle glyphs to show on mine,had to upload without them)

suggestion for Newest Additions and Updated Skins menus. in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

It would be great if the menus on the right side of the website were library specific.That way if you were in the window blinds library only window blinds skins would be showing in those menus.Then new skins and updated skins would stay on the list longer and not get bumped off by other skin categories.Dont know how hard this would be for T-Man and i know he's busy but i think this would improve the satisfaction of the users and skinners both.(my own skin spent all of a day and a half on the new

Also...i dont think WA2.91 is discontinued,they just have a newer version.You can still download 2.91 anytime you like.Some actually prefer it over WA3

I was never able to find another way.I looked for hours.This was an accident.I thought it was worth it even if you dont use winamp.If i come across something better ,will post it.

That would be ok if the thread where only used to post updates to skins and nothing else.Maybe an occasional request for a skinner to update a favorite skin.But i guess you could do that directly to the author.

Tried it both ways.With SS and thru code.Sometimes leaving the original code and sometimes importing new graphics.Any change at all will make the glyphs disappear.Sometimes you cant even change the background color of the shellstyle.Sometimes nothing can be changed.If i change the window background color the glyphs always go away.I uploaded my first skin without glyphs because i thought they were unimportant but now i want to put them in and i cant.Thanks for your help Dark Mist.

Tried that but no luck.Tried using the default image.It showed for a little while then disappeared.

Thanks WOM but that would take a long time if your checking a lot of skins.How would you keep track of which ones you had checked?I really was thinking more along the lines of a "skinwatch"similar to the way WC notifies you when a message thread has changed.

Many shellstyle elements are gone from my skins as well as downloaded skins.Have tried the usual uninstall,cleanup and reinstalls but no luck.Tried to add some shellstyles to skins that didnt have any but they usually dont show any change.Had to upload my first skin without some features because i couldnt get them to show.I would like to update my skin to show these elements but i cant get them to work.Any body else having this problem and did you solve it?

I have several skins that i use that have no shellstyle support etc...Would be neat if there was a way to be notified that a skin you are using has been updated.I have tried to modify some myself in skinstudio but this tends to not work for some reason.Just changing the window background color can make other element disappear for good.

Have similar problem.Shellstyle large bmp's keep disappearing and reappearing.Background bmp's dont show at all and some skins wont even skin the common task area.Changing skins will sometimes bring these things back,sometimes not.Skinstudio shows the code as correct but WB4 is not applying them correctly.Seems to be a bug with WB4.Any way to fix this?
