Glen I don't know if you are considering relocating, here in Florida we have jobs, but the salary is not the same as Nevada, realy big cut on salary. But you can find something in your area of expertise, many electronic companies are moving here to Orlando. Sorry for your situation. I play the game at work on a 15" tv, it is true is a little bit slower, but still it plays.

It is the order in which those items will be build. But you can alter that by changing the order in the Governor screen, but you have to buy the game for that. My advise buy Drengin.net and you get the game and the expansion and another cool games. ;)

The reason of this separation was the famous SPAM, and you and others like you were screaming because of the SPAM, we need to separate this, we need this, we need that, well now you have what you wanted, two separate forums, the main forum is dead zone and one active forum, the empire forum where the same topics that were here in the beginning are being discussed, plus all the tech questions that could be helping the newbies, who was the part receiving the worst, the newbies. You really? You were one of the ones asking for this separation. I didn't like it from the beginning, now the topics that could help newbies are not being discuss here, but there in the empires forum, so we move one forum to another forum for unnecessary reasons. :notsure:

I did exactly what you described, step by step, I downloaded the patch using the DXL secure thing, yada,yada. I install it in the MOO3 folder, I ran the validate thing you have to do, it found everything OK, but it didn't find the patch, I did it like 15 times and in everytime didn't find the patch, I tried to play the game, inserted the disk and the MOO3.exe file was missing from the directory, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game so many times that I just quit trying to do it, because t

I download all the patches and I did what they about running the file, and I tried for over 15 times and always there was or a MOO3.exe file missing or some dll file missing, so again the hassle is not worth. Here you have a problem and you ask and always someone from the developers helps you and answers you very quick, sometime not here at the forum but by e-mail and that is what I call customer service. So by a big marging GalCiv is way better than MOO3.

Also this has to do with your alignment, usually if you are playing evil, your planets tend to leave you when the Indy league or the fundy appears. I downloaded the patches, and everytime I try to run the game it keeps saying that the MOO3.exe file is missing. There are more defensive modules that you must build after you research them , such as KillerOverlordI and II, also check the library for some mods created about starbases.
