hehe remember the difference between 'all users' and 'your name' in the 'c:\documents and settings' folder. some programs install spacifically to the all users folder, and some only to your own. it helps sometimes to explor the folders, as mentioned above, and organize them by syncronizing the two folders or moving all of your items into one of them. i am the only user on my home machine, but i still move all programs into the 'all users' menu.. most spacifcally, items in the start up f

i second event horizon's.. of course, go for IP's computer choice if you can spend a little more doe i've got an HP ze2700 something and its a wonderful computer. its got the g wireless, usb2, firewire. use it every day in an apple enviroment.. great desktop replacement

i think it would be very benificial to have the two merged. as long as you could turn certain featuers on and off.. more streamlined customizing. of course this might have been pondered over by the powers that be so if they passed on it they may have their reasons.. does winfx sell seperately? if not, sounds like a plan

can be done.. i heard flash apps integrate well into desktop x's enviroment, and a buddy of mine is working on streaming flash video systems and what not. using flash communications server to drive it, you can wire web cam into anything you want (in this case your desktop, or even a pda). having Desktop x manipulate this wouldn't be much harder to do.

i didnt know popular mechanics deviated into that kind of stuff. not a bad theory. interesting that the same computer equiptment which proves the earth is millions of years old is being used for a purpose which insists the earth is 10,000 years old.

when the temperature reaches the dew point, water in the air will 'condense' and collect on things that are outside. if your bike is outside overnight, for example, if the temperature drops below the dew point then water will begin to form on it.
