i hope you didn't aim that at me, travis.. i agree that they make good software, and in pointing out the frivolous lawsuits, i'm saying everybody just wants a peice of the pie 'cause they feel left out of the loop. this bull about them blocking out their competetors from having a place in the windows enviroment- that's absolute crap. windows gives you the option to uninstall media player if you don't wnat to use it, and windows comes bundled with real player and quicktime as alternative

give a 6 year spat to the military working on f-16's, retire, and go work for lockheed martin
eer.. ack. forgot to mention: at least with certain software, in my case norton, if you found someone's addie say in one of those server logs, and tried to connect to it, it would simply block you out of the common ports. if someone really want's to get in, they'll get in. but common firewall software tries to keep out the usual riff raf and spywear bull.
if you're checking an ftp log or even a visits log, of course you'll get their ip's. the java, i assumed as much.
just look what china's new space program has done for their country's morale. the earth has for the most part been conquered and explored. people are sitting around idly getting bored and declaring war on each other. the curiousity that fires people up in exploring a vastly unknown medium creates jobs, patriotism, enthusiasm, and begins to wake people up. what if we discovered life on anothe planet? i bet it'd be like grabbing 7 billion people and shaking sense into them. it'd make em w
i'm wondering why Microsoft hasn't decided to build Microsoft computers. they did it with Xbox, they could do it with a pc. unless, of course, because its just another reason for every company in the world to try and sue them for a peice of the profit. (it does get deeper then that, but i still think if they did it right - the way apple has, they could avoid law suits and make very streamlined, stable, and powerful systems)
hehe i noticed right away that the faces changed. cute trick, tho. he's about to do 5 shows in philly
i still say its a rock band
careful, danny..
i got real hyped up once when i saw a graphic in someone's sig showing me what my IP addie was still tryin to figure how it did that. i know its happening on the client side- and it is in fact showing only my local ip addie- but.. still wonderin' how.
sounds like the name of an alternative rock band..
we've already developed alternate fuels for cars. one such i know of is derived from corn oil. when you need more fuel, you grow more corn. its being fought, of course, by the oil industry. if politics werent so wrapped up in oil, these alternate ideas might be gaining some steam. lukily car manufacturers ARE proceeding with a government plan to develope cars that get 75mpg by 2010 or something like that. Hybrid cars, available now, get very high milage and electric cars..well, there you go. the
i want one of those 64 bit athlon systems... oooo yeah.
I'm just the Project Manager of DesktopX i was waiting to hear that, i thought you jumped on that awfully fast with a whole lot of gusto, was wondering why you were so passionate about it not that i disagree. i don't use either program, but desktop
that's right. hydravision is to smooth the operation of dual monitors. check out the applications within windows, such as trying to install additional windows programs from your control panel and see what options it gives you. there is definitly a way that the OS will give you the ability to swap desktops, and even task bars, as if you're using multiple monitors. its actually a very smooth, stable feature.
doesn't XP pro have something like that built into it? where you can switch between different Desktops as if it's one monitor? it might be ATI's Hydravision i'm thinking of but i lost the function either way and dunno what it was. check out Hydravision.
wot's propellerheads?
i hope you're not buying that soley to download wallpapers..
'Harvey-Norman' WTF is harvey norman?? is that like a ... nevermind, i never shopped at what i was about to mention so i forgot what it was called, already. we have wallmarts.. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0
Essencay: did they build a cloaking device for the moon station too? Cuz i think someone would have spotted it by now was wondering the same thing, haha. how come no one can see it? then again.. how come no one can see our moon landing site up there? not that i don't believe we landed on the moon.. but.. well??
well, XP has little issues with Athlons.. along the lines of it falling asleep into..well, a coma.. also when it DOES come up from a sleep/hibernation, silly plug and play devices will stop working. so i just leave this machine on and turn the monitor off.. (and every now and then i check my fan speeds to make sure they arn't about to die out on me suddenly!).. my laptop, i hibernate.
Norton Personal firewall will make your ip and its ports invisible to an ip scan, and block entry to anything unless you explicityly allow it. supposeilvey SP2 will have such options available, as well.
personally i think there are many skinners here going well beyond what XP is armed with.
and hopefully will be even longer ppffft
