Nobody seems to have noticed "lastest" which to the best of my knowledge does not exist.
It all depends on how you're using it. For example, it would be incorrect to say, "We are in lastest place." However, it is perfectly okay to say, "That lastest was the hardest exam I've ever taken." LOL
How can anybody start with a class 45 planet ?
By using the map editor in AP.
Try looking in the Stardock folder on your hard drive. They seem to be loading into Stardock\Drengin.net\galciv I don't know why this changed, but it was recent.
I think I played SC before. Isn't that the one where you have to build buildings but only have a limited number of spaces to build them in? If so, I hate that type of game, and I have tried several that are set up that way. I never played MoM, so I wouldn't know if I would like it, but I did love AoW and AoW II.
This is a game, no game will be ever perfect
Not true! Galactic Civilizations 100.0 is a perfect game! ;)
The saved scenario file is still default blank, none of my changes were saved although the new scenario file was created.
It works fine for me. Maybe your scenario editor is corrupted? I don't know. Sounds like one for the devs.
Scenario Editor refuses to save any scenario files I create. What I mean to say, is that I save the file. Then I open it up again to assure that settings have been saved, it turns out none of them are. I'm runing Windows ME ( No laughing!) on a PIII 800 rig.. Latest version of AP and Gal Civ
If I remember right, I had to redirect the folder to which the first one was being saved. And when you start it up again you need to reload the scenario from the file button at the to
I just got AP last night. In playing my first test game I noticed that after awhile my Survey Ships stop going after anomolies. There are a bunch of them laying around, but they just ignore them. They also frequently ignore close by anomolies and go somewhere else. I'm sure someone has probably mentioned this before, but I can't possibly read every single message, so sorry for that. Is there any fix for this in the works, or do I just have to keep sending them on surveys manually?
I usually play on huge or gigantic maps. Sometimes I will choose the Populist Party (Morale +20, Diplomacy +20). Then I will pick either Speed +1/Morale +20/Economy +10, or Speed +1/Morale +15/PQ +5. Speed and high Morale always figure in my picks.
The Starbase Defense mod has been updated today. If you d/l it after the update on 4/1 you will want to d/l again. I made a typo in it and the Fighter Squadrons didn't show up. My bad. Also, let me know if you think the cost of upgrades is too high, too low, or juuuuusst right. ;)
Hey, Nidaros! Thanks for the great event pack! :)
Hmm.. coral and teal. Oh wait, that was Miami in the 80's! :notsure:
Since it is all theoretical anyway, who really knows if a stargate would be faster or slower? I have not seen the technical specifications here, so I can't comment on it. However, keep in mind that you need a stargate at both ends in order for it to work at all. Therefore, hyperdrive is inherently faster because don't have to fly off to every corner of the galaxy at incredibly slow speed and then force the poor Torians to build the damn things for you! ;)
I heard a DJ on Radio Lichtenstein do a live spot for coffee. The guy was obviously English, and when the spot was done he had to take a sip. He had the audacity to say it wasn't so bad when it was COLD!!! :SURPRISED:
Does the problem with end of game stats affect the score you get? I know you're supposed to get points for techs researched, etc, etc, etc. Since I have only a few techs researched in the stats table, does that mean my score is lower than it should be?
OK, I decided to try the Universalists with the Luck upgrade for my latest game. Now I am in the late stages of wiping everyone out. We are up to Dreadnought tech and I have not gotten even a Corvette, let alone any Rangers yet. There haven't been any +PQ events yet either... not for me or anyone else. I think I may have gotten the best starting position (Rare habitable planets, but I had some 18's and a 20 nearby, and with a starbase in place was able to get to a star system with two 26's. I've
Goblin Cookie, Minors started of restricted to only colonizing their own sector. Then SD changed it to the initial range level for how far out they'd go. I am not sure of the maximum level Minors will spread under the current (1.20) version.
I could be wrong, but it looks to me like they will expand to every sector next to a sector they already control. You can cut them off from expanding only by taking every planet in a sector that would give them access to an adjacent s
Hey! Why not just join MWC instead? We never post anything or do anything else 'cept play the game anyway. ;) Very laid back and hidin' in the corn...
I think the best way to limit the Starbase exploits would be allow Starbases to be built on the resources only.
I rarely find resources in the same sectors as my stars. And even then, you would want them in your best sectors. Cash is rarely a problem for me under the new system. I used to build starbases up the wazoo. Now I have a more limited number, but later in the game I actually need to build some starbases to keep my treasury from getting too bloated. ;p
I am actually happy with that, Alex or Cari always builds the Diplo Trans before anyone else in my games, usually around turn FIVE
I never try for the early trade goods or wonders. I know I can buy them later. I just develop my colonies and build up my economy.

Thanks, T-Man. That worked. :)
Did you catch the Crecent City Connection and then take the Huey P. Long back?
No, I just turned around and took the Crescent City Connection back to over by OPP.
Really, almost all of the drunken revelry is in the Quarter. I lived in Midcity by Carrolton and Canal. Even when Endymion or Orpheus rolled it wasn't bad. Well, it was crowded, but it never got out of hand. Besides, there are so many cops on a parade route no one has a chance to get too obnoxious. You never back talk or disagree with a New Orleans cop. Quickest way to the pokey there is. I've been to parades Uptown, too, and they are all good there as well. [Message Edited]
Mardi Gras is a pain. One time I was trying to get to work on S. Carrolton and it took me 20 minutes to figure out a way around the damn parade.
When I first moved to NOLA, I worked at the Hilton. The first Mardi Gras I decided to work and let everyone else have off (nice boss, eh?). Anyway, I went to leave and go home in the afternoon, but couldn't find anyway to get there. I couldn't believe they would completely block off an entire section of the city. To make a long s
