Tiggz is right(or right enough), you're just going beyond as to what an infinite number is doing, (and if you want to elaborate feel free cause parabola's aren't my strong point) In effect it would be almost better to look at it like.... 1/3 = .333333 repeating 2/3 = .666667 3/3 = 1 However you just explained "infinity" better than I was able to. The integer itself goes on infinetly, but the number isn't infinity, no number c

If you want to debate logic and theory, rant away people have been doing so forever, if you want to pass physics and trig, adhere to the afformentioned. If thats just a riddle or clever concept, then uhh hardy har? "There is a logic flaw here. By definition, a infinite number is, uh, infinite. By multiplying it, you end up with another infinite number, that is, 9.9999... (repeating forever)." You cannot mulitply it because you cannot
horiz0n totally agrees, but thought he'd explain why and went "overboard"
lol this is kinda terrible to say, but...firefox skins.
First off I'd just like to say WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second, although its awesome at 14 they're teaching you how to solve things at that level is awesome. Thirdly, the teacher not knowing what she/he's talking about and yet probably has a Degree for teaching math is sad. _ .9 = .9 repeating, .9 repeating =/= 1 (=/= is the symbol for "does not equal") your method for trying to solve an equation is right, b
go go go hurry lol
To hijack it some more, I liked it better when the checkbox listing was always there and all it took was hitting the one you wanted and going. But I think if backgrounds got seperated, so should docklets, animated icons, stuff like that.
I think in the object dock library being able to hit that checkbox that says "show dock backgrounds" seems like enough.
his spider is still there
thats a negative, firefox might take off, might die, but it doesn't deserve special treatment.
oldest litestep skin here created at 3/13/2001, thats nearly 4 years ago o.o
was litestep one of the just realeased ones? I thought it was screensavers, misc icons and firefox?
i was checking one of mine on a russian site, and all i can make out is, i did not make this it just something i found and it taxi's very well. lol
Deviant art only has 71 firefox skins, and considering it's been up around 6 months longer than here, and you know how much devart gets spammed. Me-thinks firefox just needs a little more time to pick up and then it's going to pick up pretty well. You could also note how much more difficult firefox is to skin and how few, (and how few decent) tutorials there are for it. Everyone has easy resources on how to skin the others. I won't say give it til
Can you post a picture of what you have on here, not quite sure what you're doing. The drop shadow in photoshop works more like a real shadow in some degrees, but there's more ways to make a shadow than just that one. You can probably get what you want by using outerglow and changing the blend mode and color.
you know it's funny how often i thought "why isn't this skin working" but then i started noticing little fine print of things like "you must have windowblinds for this to be fully skinned" dunno if thats just the way some people made theirs or not.
*warning this post contains so much text your browser may explode, best suited for monitors with a resolution of 1600x1200* "I see some things never change nor will they in the near future. Attitudes represented here are just..." It wasn't so long ago when you first came here, I remember multiple times the ADMINS no less, found your attidude on
I'm curious where my title went =p
I still have the right user/access level but I lost my title
Here's a good quick look at the difference between a skinner an artist and a porter, keep in mind these are like extremes of each type, and most people that do one type of thing will often fit under more than one catagory in varying degrees. Skinner: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=703&LibID=29&comments=1 Artist: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=742&LibID=8&comments=1 Porter: https://w
"Bottom line: Any port is a skin. ANY PORT." Absolutely true, yet a person that makes a calender for rainlender from a windowblinds theme has done two things, ported a skin from a different type of application altogether but in fact also made that particular item themselves. Whereas as a person takes one thing, doesn't change the skin at all but just makes it work on basically the same app with a different name. It's not the porters
The rate thing has some merit, but not if the skins getting rated in which affects the viewing and downloads. Like saying"do you deserve a 5 for someone elses work" maybe, maybe not, depends. But to the end user, is it worth the download, thats how the rating works. But even if the rating didn't affect anything, it wouldn't make sense or be fair really, besides at 2.5 stars that means a person that ported and did indeed do some work albiet in varyin
*horiz0ns message flat out jumped off the html and ran away*
dunno, but I guess that would explain a big part of the post in the "mozilla not working" thread. Mozilla or not, it's shot. I thought partial to the new site the voting system was supposed to work as user level = rating power, which means citizens lowest amount of rating influence, apprentice a little higher, master apprentice a little higher still, journyman even more, so forth and so on. Unlike the previous number system, with this one I've never
"I couldn't care less" or "I don't care at all" seems to be a re-occuring statement in this thread. Not sure if thats a good or a bad thing.
