Quoting , quoting post Hi, Can I use Multiplicity 4 to control two computers if both are connected to my phone's hotspot? Thank you. MP does not care about the connection medium, just that they are on the same IP subnet. If they are both c

The force touch mode option is only to be used if automatic does not correctly detect your device. Given the behaviour, you have a touch device and it sounds like Start11 is working correctly so you should be leaving it on automatic. If there is no Start11 shortcut then settings can be accessed by right clicking on the menu or taskbar (depending on settings). Start11 starts automatically so no link to start it is needed.

How many displays does your primary have? I also see reference in the registry data to the secondary having had a second monitor at some point? Is that no longer the case? I would also be curious if the mouse wraps around grid option is enabled (settings page, control switching based on mouse movement), does it then work on the opposite screen border ok?
Can you clarify if the regkey works in the current version (4.01) or the next update? And the "Seamless" appears twice, correct?
The regkey works in MP3 and 4. However be aware it may cause non ideal results in certain situations especially when using hotkeys. The next MP update should have a fix that would not need you to set this.

It is looking likely that this will be added into the next version of Multiplicity. I appreciate that it isn't as quickly as some people wanted, but the mechanism for the relay code hotkey is entirely different to the rest of the hotkeys which is why it wasn't set to be something you could customize. In the future you should be able to assign a hotkey to toggle this using the usual Multiplicity hotkeys control panel.

If you are only using Start11 for the Win7 start menu, then I assume you have the enhanced taskbar option in Start11 disabled? I ask as if that is disabled then Start11 has nothing to do with the taskbar icon painting and you would be experiencing icon cache issues which Windows is somewhat prone to.
Your description is what I'm trying to do here. Any ideas on why it wouldn't switch out of KVM mode and flip back to Seamless use? I'm not seeing any changes in my system tray when I switch out of KVM mode.
How are you closing the KVM session? And at the risk of a dumb question, it is set on the grid as well?

Your keyboard didn't cause any issues because no matter how fast you type you will never exceed 25 keystrokes per second for example as I think the world record for typing is only a little over 1060 keystrokes per minute so Gaming mice do like to send way too many updates and this isn't ideal on the desktop because it makes apps get more messages about mouse movements well exceeding the screen refresh rate. Multiplicity can handle higher rates on better PCs

When you change users, does the screen resolution change? Or the number of monitors attached, or the OS scaling factor? It would also be useful to manually save out HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Stardock\Multiplicity2 and subkeys having switched users when it is not working and then again once you have moved the machine on the grid and make it work. I suspect there will be a difference between the values in those which will give us a clue.

Multiplicity is reliant on the network connection remaining reliable. Should it drop then Multiplicity will try to reconnect, but if this is for a prolonged period of time then the connection is lost entirely as it is only designed to handle a brief outage in KVM mode. In Seamless mode it will continue to reconnect in the background having moved you back to the primary, but in KVM mode the loss is somewhat more obvious to the user so handles transient drops only (such as a lost pa

If the network is set to public then the firewall will block all of the Multiplicity ports and Multiplicity will not be able to communicate. This is by design as there are few reasons to be using Multiplicity when not on a trusted network so we only create rules for trusted networks. As for why IT would believe it was required to mark a trusted network as public is something they would have to answer themselves, but it doesn't say much if they apparently don't trust their own ne
