I am an old user of Stardock software and, concerning Start 11, I would like to know if someone can help me on the following issues: After clicking on existing Apps Icons and selecting "PIN to Start Menu", Start 11 does not assume it and DOES NOT SOW them on the Start Menu; Moreover, no matter which Start Menu Style I choose (namely, my preferred Windows 7 style), the
I'm having the same issue. START 11 was all working fine until this morning. Now when I hit the windows icon on taskbar I get the useless standard Windows 11 start menu not my usefuk custom Start 11 one.
Does the windows key work? Make sure all settings on the control page are set correctly too. If not it might be S11 isn't starting up for some reason.
Quoting Neil Banfield from the above link, "Combined taskbar buttons use the app/shortcut icon. Uncombined uses the window icon which is a different thing." From the linked thread: Here are examples; the same apps and folders are open in each example. Always combine taskbar buttons will use generic Explorer icons, and any custom app icons you are using. (below) <br

If the mouse sends touch input instead of wheel input then it will not be passed over to the remote computer as Multiplicity handles mouse and keyboard data not touch.
Thats an interesting request. You can have filtered folders in S11 v2, but they are not an option to make a link to from the Win7 menu but perhaps thats the best solution here.

Is the non sleeping computer the primary or secondary? When used in seamless mode any mouse action on the primary will act to keep connected secondary computers awake. This is by design.
Do you have multiple adapters or multiple IP addresses on a single adapter? If so we may have a fix for that in internal testing right now.

The taskbar uses the OS cache but it maintains different caches for different sizes which is how it can be wrong in one place but right elsewhere.
That's the normal Windows 11 taskbar. When it runs out of space it puts the overflow on a ... Menu. Unfortunately it also seriously miscalculates how much space it needs sometimes and forces things into the overflow when there was sufficient room. If you enable the Start11 enhanced taskbar it will not do this.
Brilliant thanks Neil. Supplementary question, does it work on Windows Arm (ie a vm on Apple silicon?)
It should yes. We do testing on Microsoft Surface Pro X which are ARM based.
It is per Windows install. So two user accounts on the same machine would be fine but two different machines would not (or VMs or Dual boot)
Ok interesting... I closed a few tabs in my browser and it started freaking out again. Changing the task bar sizing / resetting explorer.exe fixed it again.
Next time it happens can you have explorer open and under details see what gdi and user handles explorer is using? Also where is your taskbar positioned?
Where is your taskbar positioned? Also do you have any software which might alter the taskbar position or add in extra bars or reserve desktop space? You might want to try v2.52 beta too.
There is always space reserved on the right end for being able to drag the tab bar and filter etc icons.
What app is it as it might be a problem specific to that app? Typically this would mean the shortcut has an appID thats different to the pinned app which is why they are not merged.
You must allow the OS to collect this information. If you have disabled this setting in the OS for privacy reasons it will not collect it for use by Start11.
Do you mean you have it set to use the Windows 11 search not the Start11 one?

We can only show what the OS says is the cursor and as I recall with no physical mouse it fails to tell us about some cursors. There is the OS accessibility option to use arrows as a mouse which may resolve this and look like a mouse.
