Hi, I'm having a similar problem but it's opening another pinned app when there are 2 windows opened for the same app. Recommending to install a Beta version is not what I expect from you. When is 2.7 gonna be out of beta? Thanks
I would suspect in the next few weeks. Installing the beta version is the quickest route to a solution which is why it was suggested as your particular issue is a

I would recommend installing v 2.7 beta as there were changes to combined taskbar buttons. However I can promise that Start11 should mirror what the OS does. It is worth noting there may have been a change in this behaviour from the OS in recent updates from Microsoft.
If you resize the menu a little wider then does it stop doing this?
Do you also mean those versions of software as both are rather outdated? Also are you also using Start11 as that can impact things too?
I would also consider uninstalling, REBOOTING and then reinstalling as this may also address your issue (though v2 also has lots of new things which you may like) Sometimes Windows upgrades glitch and stop things starting up correctly which might be what has happened here.
Sir, I used to think and still think that Stardock produce good software. However, when I pay extra for a so called Lifetime license, I get told by less than friendly support staff that my license doesn't extend from Start11 .1 xxx to Start11 2.xxx I thus now use better software that cost me nothing. No doubt the support staff will be able to assist with your troubleshooting
Neil, The version that I have is also 4.48.102, but I've had it for a few years and I don't remember if it is from Slack's website or the Windows Store. I would say t
Have you installed anything which might modify the OS like a WindHawk mod? That message can only show in one specific case and thats when the OS tells Groupy that windows is not in that mode which is queried via the OS standard API for checking that. If it returns no there will be something outside of Groupy causing this. The most likely alternative explanation is Group Policy on your computer is overriding the entry you are adding. The DWM may be providing the dra
Is your version of Slack the one from the Windows Store, or the one from the website? Slack seems to be showing the icon here just fine (latest from the website), shows as version 4.48.102. Does this match the version you are seeing?
well it was working last week and for months prior to that. nothing has changed my side. When you move windows around the screen, do you see them move or do you see an outline move?
It would sound like perhaps the Start11 processes are not running. If you open taskmanager do you see Start11_64.exe or Start11Srv.exe on the details tab? My best guess here is something is blocking Start11 from starting. AV packages would be the most likely cause. What AV do you use?
+1 for this request. Linux support will be awesome, just the client side is enough.
By client do you mean as a secondary? or as a primary?
Try using these settings.
Yes Windows has two dark modes. One for the taskbar / startmenu and another for apps. Setting Windows mode to dark will give you a dark taskbar and thus white text.
By transparent, what are you trying to get it to do? The menu has a blur so the background will never become entirely invisible in the background as that would be unusable if there is anything under it thats not basically solid colour.
VoidTools Everything integration is not working with the latest version of Everything. I suspect that Start11 is assuming the default instance name for Everything v1.4, which no longer is valid with Everything 1.5 which currently has an obligatory named instance ("1.5a" or a custom one, in this case "startup", so that there can be a restricted friendly search for Start11 and the option to open a second "user" instance for admin
Hi, New user of Start11 and it is a nice piece of software! But I have two quick questions about it: Tile placement feels chaotic/buggy When I try to arrange tiles in the Windows 10 style Start menu, their placement is very inconsistent. Tiles frequently jump to unexpected positions or groups instead of staying where I drop them, which makes it very hard to organi
This should be addressed in the next update.
The next update for Start11 should have a registry key you can add for this. The release notes should mention what you will need to add to hide the shadow.
This should be addressed in the next update. Thanks for letting us know.
Disable the rounded corners option. This option isn't fully compatible with vertical taskbars and may be stopping you resizing.
