Starting with the fact that everything from the Internet must not be taken as the truth, I have found that using Copilot to find info from the Internet faster than a Google or Bing search. Copilot can create summaries of movies, books, Journal articles, etc. As far as using it to control my computer, I agree that it's not that helpful.

I'm sorry, I misread your issue. I thought you wanted the taskbar to change color based on the wallpaper selection. I didn't read close enough. So, the only way to change the text color on the taskbar is to change the "default Windows mode" to Dark for white text or Light for black text.

I don't believe there is a way to do what you are asking for with Start11. You can, however set your taskbar to look equally good on light or dark backgrounds. Set the taskbar color to black and then adjust the RGB to somewhere between 35 and 60. Set the transparency to 65%. And then turn on the taskbar blur if you like. Yes, it's not locked, but I still don't understand why you can't move pinned items. Are you using the right mouse button? You need to use the left mouse button to move pinned items on the Start11 menu. I am able to move pinned items at will to anywhere on the Start11 menu. Which menu style are you using?

Okay, I figured this out. If the Enhanced taskbar is on, with "Always combine taskbar buttons" selected, my custom icons are displayed on the taskbar. Right click on a blank space on your start11 menu and check the status of the lock, because if it's not locked, you should be able to move pinned apps to another tab.

I think this might be a known issue; trying to pin an item from the search menu. Instead, perform the search and then right click>Open file location; now pin that to Start11. You might have to select "Show more options" to get to Pin to Start11. Or, right click on the Start11 menu where you want to pin the app, and select New>Pin installed application..., and then navigate to the app and select it. See if those work for you.

With the Enhanced taskbar off , the taskbar appears to pick up the icon from the folders I listed above. With the Enhanced taskbar on , the taskbar appears to pick up the icon from the app itself. The only way to have a custom start button centered on the taskbar is to turn on the Enhanced taskbar in Start11.
