I don't pin any apps to my taskbar and use only the Start Menu to open apps, folders, and files. I do have a mouse with programable buttons, and open the start menu with a mouse click. It's very fast. Another alternative to the Quick Launch toolbar would be to use Object Dock in the Autohide mode. So, no click, just pull the mouse to the bottom of the screen (or side, or top) and one click. You can pin apps, folders, and files to an Object Dock. With this method, any icon on the taskb

After making this change, you might have to restart Explorer for it to render properly. This is with Windows 10 style and Paint focused item backgrounds less transparent. Windows 11 doesn't support Quick Launch Toolbars, but you could try Start11 "Pin folder Menu" as an alternative. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/69/2

When you duplicate any file in Explorer, Windows automatically adds a (1), (2), etc. to the end of the file name. You could use this simple naming strategy for the shortcuts which you want to duplicate in your Fences.
Thanks for the suggestion. I created a blank rule, but still it automatically adds a new app to the current window
I think you misunderstood. Creating a new blank rule causes all windows to be grouped together.

Did you by any chance create a custom rule and leave it blank? See this thread. https://forums.stardock.com/531647/page/1/#3948374 Creating a new blank rule causes all windows to be grouped together.
When the Start menu button is hidden, the corner cannot be clicked. Is there no option to just hide the Start menu button but still have mouse interaction?
Saw this today, and it might be just what you're looking for in a Start button. A Blank Start Button. https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/start_menu_buttons/565/

I wasn't able to find a specific Change Log for ObjectDock 3, however, it was updated to be more compatible with Windows 10 and 11. Be aware that some features were deprecated for compatibility. Read thru this thread, and you should get a pretty good idea of what has changed. https://forums.stardock.com/526744/page/1/#replies

The Header Font controls the Group Titles; Tab Titles, in all the Styles except Windows 7 and Modern. Not seeing an issue here, but I'm running Windows 11 23H2. Check the Registry at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8" to see how the values are set. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/69/28/6928565/8

Okay, great. Does it also appear in the Windows Settings>Apps>Installed Apps list. If so, try to uninstall from there. If not, delete it from the Application folder you managed to open above. Try these and report back. [e digicons][/e]

When you say System programs, are you referring to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs," and when you say User programs, are you referring to "C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"?
