Doesn't the galaxy get a little cramped with two more races in there? I don't have the beta, I'm just wondering. ~SDC~

You've got to make it 300 pixels wide when you upload it, otherwise it'll get blown up to that size for the "preview" in your profile. Doesn't make it look pretty. ~SDC~
The trick is to stay out of hostile times untill you have more population. :) I usually take a few +Pop growth picks just in case. If you've got more planets than anyone else, as soon as you've built them up you've practically won. ~SDC~
Completely random event. Not very likely to happen. I've only seen a couple times. Here's the text of the event straight from english.str, if you're interested. [Event_DarkArnor_1] Legend has it that hundreds of thousands of years ago there was a world called Arnor. On this world were a race known as the Precursors.\n \n Supposedly, there was a war between two factions of them. On the one side were the ones who called themselves the 'Arnor' and on the other side the ones known as the
Actually, now that I think of it, AutoSave was the corrupt save I was trying to load. PreviousAutosave worked. The game had CTDd when the Draginol tried to appear. They appeared just fine when I played through from PreviousAutosave, though. ~SDC~
Was there a colonization event that lowered the morale? I once colonized a 12 to extend my range, took a -44% morale choice, then destroyed the colony. Later in the game a new minor happened to pop up on that planet, and when I took it over the -44% was still there. ~SDC~
By the time you can build Terraforming on class 11 planets, getting another class 15 isn't worth the trouble. ~SDC~
Hey, apparently anyone who submits a game is automaticly getting a "Former Top 25 Player" medal. You should hurry up and get back before they get it fixed. ;)
Do they also get bonuses on Genius? I read in the Encyclopedia (a link to a forum post almost a year old) that Genius AIs get 5% more money and Incredible AIs get 40% more, but it didn't mention any other bonuses for either of them. Are there Genius bonuses, too? By the way, Theoden, the FAQ on the FOTR website was actually the first place I looked. Even before the Encyclopedia. That really says something about the Fellowship, doesn't it? :) ~SDC~ [Message Edited]
That happened to me once, but AutoSave and PreviousAutoSave were fine. That's what they're there for, after all. :) ~SDC~
Anybody know? ~SDC~

Can somebody tell me exactly what bonuses the AI gets when it's set to Genius or Incredible? I know it's been posted here before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. ~SDC~
I don't usually keep track of the date, but the current EndGameSave I have is a medium/common alliance victory in April 2195. ~SDC~
Not just ships, any graphics. Last night I had the graphic for class 5 planets not show up, for instance. ~SDC~
Fun fact: Those little bits of text that can be included with images were originaly there for the benifit of people whose web browsers didn't support pictures. ~SDC~
Not really green. More of a "tropical emerald," really. No offense ment, your Veteranness. --Rear Admiral PJ (as of about five minutes ago. :) ) ~SDC~

One more game... And just when I was thinking of taking a break, maybe playing one of those new games I got for christmas. There's always something pulling me back to GalCiv. "The 20 game medal is only two games away!", "I'm ranked 105. I'm sure I could at least get to the top 100 before christmas break." The metaverse just won't let me go. :)
Been a while since I saw that movie, but I do believe the good guys came out ahead in the end after all. :)
I can't get the tactical map to work... I can't find it... help....
Hit F9. :) ~SDC~
The "fix" sidesteps the issue by renumbering all the techs. It'll still get caught in its infinite loop if you have techs with ID numbers over 199. If you're using mods, it'll probably be easiest to just remove the offending UP issues until the next patch. ~SDC~
In the beginning I thought that turning "End Turn Skips Moves Left" off would prevent me from accidently ending a turn when some of my ships still had moves. I couldn't begin to guess what "End Turn - Skips Moves Left" would mean. Maybe that would encourage players to go online and look it up. ;) ~SDC~
It's on the bottom of the left side of the options menu ~SDC~
The only time a major will break an alliance is if you go to war with another civilization with which they're allied or if they ask you to help them in a war and you refuse. There's also a random event that causes war between two civs, and that can happen even when they're allied. Just in case you didn't know, you don't need all five to get an alliance victory, just all the remaining ones. If you kill off four and ally with the fifth, you have an alliance victory. ~SDC~
