As an end user, I switched to 10 almost immediately after seeing it. Sure, I miss things like Object Dock and other customizing apps, but I think that it's the best Windows version since XP.
Just wondering if the program that got me "sold" onto Object Desktop is going to be updated. I tried the Winstep Nexus Dock, and it is nice, but isn't quite the same. I do miss Desktop X too, but it seems that at least the Dock could be updated to still be useful in Windows 10.
Ooo, thank you for reminding me about Winstep! I had forgotten all about that. I've been disappointed in the last couple of iterations of OD and had been using it for a long time but it just doesn't seem to be keeping up anymore. In the past it did seem that Stardock was quicker about getting compatibility with the newest version of the operating system, but that has dropped off in the past few years. I have been struggling with trying to install DesktopX after a recent rebuild of my Win7 Pro system. I have tried from both the Stardock Central app and the downloaded installer from my account. I have tried both the regular and the professional version (I have purchased the professional, and have OD.) Everytime I try to install it says the serial number isn't correct. (I have even tried swapping them up to see if maybe the stored serial numbers were wrong, you know pro and regular!)

I can kind of see what some are saying about the upgrade price, but having bought OD+ pretty near when it first came out, I am pleased with a $10 USD upgrade. Seems worth it to me. Although, as someone who bought the disappointing Vista Ultimate, most upgrade prices seem reasonable. :p

Well for those who have read the instructions, have the beta options checked, have a current OD Ultimate registration and have Windows 7 installed - let me just add that it still may not work. I am not seeing WindowBlinds 7 no matter how I sort it. I don't have any OD packages installed atm because I just did a rebuild and was waiting for the WB beta. So I think that there still might be some issues with it.

Ditto the problems for me too. Tried uninstalling and re-installing with Impulse. Using Vista SP1 64bit.
Glad to hear about your reunion of sorts. It's good to hear when perseverance and patience pays off for someone. Having two daughters myself, I can't imagine what you went through, and can only share a small portion of your elation. I'm glad you shared it with us.
Okay, tried one more thing, just off of a whim. I uninstalled and re-installed DX Pro and re-ran the .bat file, but that didn't work either.
I would have to agree with what's been pointed out already - broadband almost eliminates the need for CD's. Also, with the search features that you have on the Wincustomize site, it's easy to just go and find what you are looking for anyway. I'm not sure of any value-added features that a CD might bring, although Zubaz had some great ideas there. I might order a couple CD's if it had a limited version of WB or ThemeManager along with some skins - I think they'd make great Christmas presents.

Well not to suggest copying other sites, but one thing I would love is the ability to search by color. I know it sounds kind of dorky, but when you find a great icon-set that someone has created, I'd love to be able to find matching wallpapers and windowblinds. Ooo, ouch. I tend to do a "wipe and re-load" of windows every 6-9 months. I guess it's a habit from the old days when Windows was, shall we say, less stable. I haven't run into any max activation issues yet, but then again, I have only had to do one re-install on my laptop lately when I took a Linux distro off and re-sized the partitions. Hey just wanted to add, that the latest build (5.91.038 for me) is looking gooooood! The molten theme seems to have the few things fixed from before. Now I'll just have to try and see if it still hangs up when I try and change my desktop picture. Now that there IS a picture with the Molten WB, there really isn't a need to. I just wanted to give some compliments on a job well done before I start messing around with it and forget. Again, it looks like WB6 is coming along nicely,
