Nopers. The game do some check thing (maybe a checksum, but I am clueless when it comes to those things) and makes sure that the game data matches between players. If it doesn't match, you cannot join that other person's game.
So part of the connections problems could be players who didn't upgrade to the latest version....

When it becomes clear the game will be won by a team. The loosing team should have the option to surrender and end the game gracefully. Just quitting is annoying. Proposal: A surrender option in the game menu. when most players on a team pressed the button the game will finish with a victory for the other team. on a 1v1, only 1 needs to press the button before surrender on 2vs2, both members of a team needs to press the button on 3vs3, 2 are needed

If the life leach is that big, why not destroy the enemy citadel? This sounds if the game became cat+mouse. With the current war ranking and citadel upgrades the game is almost certain over when Giants are entering the game. I really can not understand why a game would last 2 hours. And if this is a balance problem then come here with numbers. Now you are just telling the balance needs to be changed and not how the numbers are causing problems will do no good. I

The game is fun!! And what helps in enjoying the game is the short match times. 30 mins game time is nice. And no waste if you loose. And constant action during the time. Supreme Commander tends to have matches over 1 hour.
I think they do still suggest making sure some ports are open if you're having trouble.
But only as a last resort. I've 2 computers with Demigod here, both are able to play online. Which is great, in the past there was always port trouble

Even the online Pantheon games are fun, only the Ai is normal and not hard. So it is too easy. So for me the offline part will be ok. And if the AI get's even better it would be nice. (only seen twice a human player in pantheon games)
Honestly, Ranks and Ladders are probably already fairly tuned. You, yourself, have already mentioned that the GPG has spent months working out a ranking system and ladders while working on the Supreme Commander Beta. They probably will use a similar ranking system for Demigod. As it's proven tech, it's probably on tap for limited testing probably starting next week, just to work out any possible kinks. Personally, I'm glad to see that they are trying to iron out the connect

That's a bit old. Try to update them. You're sound drivers are even older. But there is still a chance that you ran into a bug...

The gibberish is called DxDiag.txt. It is an report about almost all components of you're system. To create one: Start > Run type "dxdiag" in the Run dialog Use the "Save All Information..." button to save a report to you're desktop This DxDiag.txt file is interesting for the devs until: --------------------- Sound Capture Devices --------------------- It helps other people to find old drivers and stuff li

Until now we have played Pantheon and Custom Multiplayer settings. The Custom multiplayer option and balance is tested by the Beta testers, Pantheon is not. Pantheon is basicly not tested because it is very difficult to get into a game with another human. This worries me, how can we know if it will work properly at day 0 if it not tested? The same applies to the other multiplayer scenario's: Ranks? ladders? they are not tested in this beta. How can SD/GPG ensur

The beta was open for pre orders. It is now closed and you will have to wait until april. Or a month later when a demo is released. However don't expect Demigod to be DOTA. It uses same game mechanics, for the rest it is it's own.

I had a problem with the logitech driver, it has some hooking stuff going on that inserts itself into started processes. At least version 11.5 has. The problem also occured when i was debugging with Delphi. The debugger catched a break when the process was loaded and could not continue. After several tries the debugger would run. Only way to fix that is to un install the logitech software. (stopping the services will not help). I did an now i can happely run Delphi and Demigod
