I have a 3ghz dual core and an 8800 gts 512. Would that be enough? It runs left 4 dead on maximum. Steam DRM I have no problems with, once they get the DLC integrated I think I will give it a shot.
That would be able enough to run it. It's a great game, just finished it a second time. Enough RPG element for me. But that is personal...

An interesting read, before i didn't know anything about it. However with the current ration of Euro = Dollar i'm a little hesitant to buy from Steam. What i missed in the review is the length of the game and how well the AI plays. Some very important things for a single player game....
The diffeence here is that Demigod (beta) has shipped to the user in question. If I pre-order a book from amazon it's unlikely that I can use it before it ships, right?
I'm sure if the writer send you his script he also want his money from you. If you like the book or not. I don't see the problem... You pre-order and as soon as the beta arrives you pay for it. This was clear from the

I've lot's of Impulse and Steam games, and also 12 years of PC games. I often download games, and when i (or my children) like them i buy them, the last examples were Mass Effect and Spore. For all games I download no-cd cracks when possible, i don't like the cd hassle. I'm not sure what my reaction will be when i hit the activation limit on installs. Maybe I will start pirating the other games from companies that rent games for full prize. But i first will wait how long it ta
Sadly enough I expected a game built around evolution and from what I can tell that is not the case - maybe that element will be added in the third or fourth x-pack.
As far as i can see the game is about intelligent design [e digicons][/e]

My kids really like Spore (Boy of 6, Girl of 8 and Boy of 11 years old) Now EA has said to change the DRM that computers can be de-activated i have bought the game and will store the cd with cracked version somewhere. One of the great things of spore is the online content. If they had sold the game without DRM it would have sold well just because of the online part. Without DRM this game had great Impulse / Stardock potentional. (Weekly updates with new parts only available for custom
I honestly can't say I've ever wanted to get any achievements in any game which featured them, and if I did it was just a matter of me being that good at a certain thing (Sentry Gunner for instance). All that matters is playing the game, honestly. Winning is nice, though. >)
Well achievements in portal were fun [e digicons][/e]
Thanks. Downloaded the program, let it fix the 800 odd errors (!) re-booted, but still no joy. I press the "run" button from the Impulse screen and nothing happens
You still didn't copy the DxDiag text to this thread.... (Start>Run enter "DXDiag", save the information to a file and copy it to this form...)
I thought one of the merits of impulse was rapid updates
Updates is not equal to next beta phase. Before october we will probably see some updates with fixes for bugs found so far. But really new content will be in the next beta phase which is expected for october. Maybe if no bugs where found they could speed up to the next phase.... [e digicons];)[/e]

I think there is a technical problem to realize a 64bit version. They need to compare the state on all machines. I think they use some memory checksums for that. When compiling 64bit the memory layout will change because the sizes of the variables will change (integers are getting twice the size they had before) As a result when a 32bit demigod exe tries to play with a 64bit demigod.exe all kind of desyncs will occure. The same problem exists with supreme commander

On my Q6600 / 8GB / GT8800 the game runs very smooth, no lockups/ waiting or what ever. On my P4 3.2 HT / 1GB / Nvidia 7600 machine the game works, but i have to use low settings, some delays occure The game becomes fun after a few games, i think the single player will be very important to introduce the game and how it works to new people. I'm ready for the next phase of the beta. A bug i noticed: The flag bar stayed on my screen and it took a while bef
