Well, maybe you should wait until the first beta reports (and videos) are coming, because it is very hard for us to tell whether you will like it or not.

I don't think the PAX beta will be the same as the beta we will see at the end of this week. I expect at most 2 demigods (probably 1) and 1 map. Remember this is only to test whether there are technical problems like drivers / direct x conflicts
I appreciate the swift repsonse Well i downloaded impulse as you suggested i clicked install and again i get a fatal error during install. If you're having installer issues, and have fast internet, then the simplest route past the problem is around it; if you download Impulse and register your serial/cd-key, you can simply download the entire game direct from us.What do i do now?
Did you register the game in Impulse?
You don't keep your levels. Our persistent model is ... something else!
Can you tell us in which phase this will go beta? And I assume that any ladder / persistence data will be resetted when beta finished?
Meh, what makes you different then the other 3,286,291 before you? xDNo seriously, what is that Member No. ? There can't be that many members
Well, this forum is not only for Demigod, but also for totalgaming.net, stardock.net forums etc. so I quess the number is accurate. However there will be doubles and people no longer active. (most of the time there are about 1200+ user active on those forms)

How could a support hero become a demigod? He performs well with other hero's but he will be weaker than others. I don't think there is a logical place for a support hero. (ok when does logic define a game ;) )

This is crying for a way to mathamaticly describe the attack and defence stats and automaticly test them in a controlled environment. Some interesting stuff for the people who are really good in math here :)

I've finished a 14 day trial for Lord of the Rings Online. Nice, but the monthly pay holds me back. I'm never sure about how much time i have to play. Just started playing (didn't have time when the beta was around) Sins of a Solar Empire. Will take some time to get into. And just installed Titan Quest, looks nice

Balancing this asks for several maps with automaticly playing demigods. (Maybe get them walking around with a predefined route. Then a test can be started x times and the outcome can be displayed in win loss % Example: Assassin + creep against General + creeps wins 33% of 1000 games The balance can be changed to get to the 33%. Many different maps and routes are needed to make sure that balance is not depending on a strategy that has a advantage for one of the
1) the digital download how does it work im guessing they send a code to ur email and then u download using the code but what format does it come it and can it only be downloaded once meaning if u format ur comp ur screwed.
You will get a message with the SN. Probably a download link for Impulse. After installing Impulse you will have to login (create a stardock account if not yet available) and use the SN for it. Maybe it is already assigned to you're account. After

I think we can narrow the size a little down: Minimal size of Exe: 77 Bytes if you want it small :) maybe less if you skip the "This program must be run under Win32" message Maximal size of 32bit exe: should be at most 2GB Of course GPG can try to put it in a 64Kb exe, something like the 96KB FPS here: http://www.theprodukkt.com/kkrieger.html (look for .kkrieger - chapter I somewhere down that page :) ) Of course they will need some extra time to create the rig
Those of you in the upcoming beta are going to be a critical component of helping me create the best UI possible for Demigod. Getting feedback on how the UI helps or hinders the gameplay experience is going to be key, so I'll be watching those forums. Hope to see you there!
On the first few runs I will try to remember the initial thoughts that cross my mind. And look what works for me or not. This is something that can only be done while playing the first games. After tha
- guess no paypal...Anyway, you all got me convinced (and the low dollar, so it's really cheap if I use the downloadable version), so how does one get into the beta? Do you need to sign up anywhere after you've preordered?
No, when you preorder you are in the beta. Until they say there is no room for new beta players. And yes the dollar being that cheap is nice for all Euro people...
Enders Game by Orsen Scott Card is in the works. It may or may not come through. There are lots of difficulties around making it happen. How do you find a 7 year old that can act like a military genius. Battleroom etc.
I hope that some day a good version will be created. The story is great!
We haven't given any specs yet, but as some others have commented it should be less demanding than SC due to engine optimizations, etc. I'm sure some people on the lower end of the spectrum will be in the beta soon and they can give feedback on how it runs for them.
Well i have a P4 HT 3200 with 1GB and a 7600GT and a Q6000@3200 with 8GB and 8800GT so it will be nice to compare the performance. I did play the beta of Supcom with the first computer and that worked great, s
