It was a 24 MB download for me :-)

It's by design, when you choose a side you stick with it during the tournament
2 new Demigods are planned after release, more if the game is succesfull
Currently it is common to have 1 TB in an new computer, it doubles each 1 1/2 year, so in about 3 years this setup will be available for everyone [e digicons]:P[/e] Not taking in account slower Windows editions [e digicons]}:)[/e]
I see a clan Pantheon coming.... Or 2 clans playing each other each clan on a side...
Can you post you're DxDiag.txt? Looking at this error it is a driver issue or hardware failure. Games like DemiGod will drive you're computer hot.
I never saw this behaviour. Did you try to uninstall/reinstall? Maybe a version issue?
An overview where for each demigod is shown how many times it has slain (or assisted) another demigod. We might see patterns there in time. Rook slays 400 rooks (500 assists), 304 UB (100 assists) etc Of course this should be in a nice table :-)
Sim speed is the speed of all the calculations needed for 1 step (or tick) in the game world (which is 1/100 seconds in many games, not sure about demigod) the value is the number of steps that could be calculated in the time for 1 step. So the game could run 8 times faster if you're sim speed is 8. Sim speed refers to the internal game world. The representation of this world is separated and can be done by another processor.
And maybe some big releases and free UT3 plays a role...
Still unable to connect to games. Just curious... did you test your netcode with international/transatlantic connections at all ? None of my friends over here in Germany can connect to games (not even when we try to set up 1v1) and i saw a post here earlier with someone from the Netherlands who has the same issue.
Well i hope that you take the time to take the time to contact Cari at the Demigod IRC
It is now possible to: - change a demigod - press ready and - start a game This way you can play with another demigod than the rest of the players expect.
When 2 people are trying to get into the same player slot, both get in and become invisible. This happens easily in a 4 vs 4 game. Probably only when in the game lobby from the internet because of longer ping times. (it will be difficult to reproduce this in a lan situation...) Possible fix: changing slot's has to be confermed by all the other demigod instances before the move happens
In beta 3B is by default the timeout 'none'. But the pauze button will change from pauze game to resume game and back again. This is very confusing. To reproduce: Pauze a game with the game menu > button will change, game will continue Proposal for fix: Disable the pauze button when timeouts is none
If Demigod becomes as populair as we all hope the channel will very crowded. So is the current implementation only a beta thing? Is this something Frogboy referred to in the past when he talked about the plans for finding people to play with? Things like joining and changing nicknames needs some GUI to be succesfull. Current implementaion is fine for a beta but i hope there will be a few hundred players online in the future and then no one will use it because there is a limit of activ
I noticed after the 1.96GB update that the game was responding very slow in the menu's. Closing the game took a long time (before repsponse times were much better) I will investigate this further later after a restart of windows. Edit: It's ok now after restart. Not sure why is was caused. Probably something else was going on
And if this all do not help, please post a dxdiag maybe we can see something there
Using the elo system is all fine and dandy to evaluate the AI, but there will always be bugs in AI and honestly our top 10 is flooded with people who use AI or repeatedly play the same players to get ahead in ranking. Click on the #1's name. check his games. Something is up. There should be separate rankings for playing against AI and playing against humans. Integrating them seems like a false representation of skill. I don't want someone who
And no c++ changes doesnt mean no bug fixes. I'd be extremely surprised if the UB issue could be fixed without C++ changes.
The whole c++ change thing means that there will be no gameplay changes that require new code. Bug fixes can require some coding changes and will be done if needed. For the rest they will try to change game balance by altering values (costs, cooldown time etc
I think you mean a custom / dedicated facilitator? Because there is no 'server' int the way other RTS's have it. Everyone is technicly spoken a client and server while playing. But some API to create you're own facilitator would be nice. I would personally be very interested to create some stuff with that.
No Supreme Commander at RTS? WTF?
What happens if you try this with the same account?
isn't you're driver a little old? Driver Date/Size: 12/1/2008 15:51:31, 318464 bytes oeps, m-day notation, no it's not old :-)
I do not think it is possible. But, maybe: pre-order now the digital version, and just before release pay the extra money for the boxed version. You still will pay a lot for the box but you delay the payment a little.
If both Impulse and Steam have the same game in store I prefer Impulse. I've installed both on 2 of my systems and I like the fact that I can freely choose which Impulse game to play. If one of my children wants to play a steam game the account is only available on 1 system.... Impulse is much cheaper for us EU people :-)
