Hey Torro, you discriminate against overweight people, now? Sheesh........ There is so much more I'd like to post, but this is not the forum. This is about desktop skinning. It's about people coming together on the internet, sharing ideas, and just having a good time. Your insulting crappola sickens me. Hey moderators!!! You gonna allow this garbage. I mean sharing ideas is one thing, but fer cryin' out loud....... <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp

Essencay, you're getting me a bit miffed. I'm a Democrat. I HATE Bush, and every stinkin' thing he stands for. Mikie, as you so affectionately call him, has really hit on some very major issues. As in MAJOR. If only a fraction of what is in that movie is correct, and I believe most of it is, then even the most die-hard Bushies should be asking themselves, and this government, what the he** is going on. Michael Moore is not a lunatic. And his viewpoint is not rantings and ravings.
Thanks for your replies, but I'm at a loss....... The latest build is 2.19h[b].002 My mistake. That is the build I have, which is why I'm wondering what's wrong. And, to Tiggs' reply, I do have the box checked to show pre-release versions. So, what do I do now? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/notsure.gif" b
I've been trying to install some new objects onto my desktop, ie Tiggs' K-Display, and I keep getting the message that "The package has been built with a newer version of DesktopX" yet when I go to Software or the link I have the latest version installed, 2.19(b).002. What's up? As a result, if I load the object anyway, the text is all off center and screwed up, rendering the object rather useless. Am I missing something? I do not condone terrorism in any way shape or form. But, Mrs. Footsie is right. Until we accept some responsibility for our actions, selling of weaponry, biologic and chemical agents, including what we sold to Saddam, providing intelligence to those in power when it suited us, then abandoning them when we tire of them, manipulating governments, etc. Until we accept responsibility for a host of manipulating actions we perpetrated over in the mideast and elsewhere, this war will go on and on a
That being said, I would LOVE for everyone to see it because I think Bush is a criminal and needs to be sat in the Dunce corner. The Dunce Corner??? Are you kidding???? I think........ let me rephrase that......... I'm so sure that Bush is a criminal that he needs to be impeached and spend a few years in prison. He and his cronies are war m

Hi all, It's been a while since I've been here, but now I'm back and it's time to update, upgrade, redo, renew, etc. Anyway, my SDC is screwed up again, so I need to do the uninstall/reinstall routine. Something about my computer, but it's way too deep for me to figure out. So, I just do the routine from time to time. Could someone post the link to the latest, greatest SDC download? TIA <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=9
I agree with Paxx. I used DX and OB all the time. I like gef's DX themes, though I do find that OB tends to be redundant. But sometimes the convenience of one over the other, when I have both, is very helpful. I don't use Litestep, mostly because I don't feel like paying for yet another program, so I cannot comment on that. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
I know, I know. We've got WA, Icons, and what else? I'm going back to the home page and reading up. :)
This was such a hyped up event..... AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY BIT OF THE HYPE!! The skins are fabulous. Trying them out was lots of fun. I must have gone through a zillion desktops in the past few weeks. I have to admit that I wouldn't have picked the winners that were picked, but I'm so new at this, and I don't have the discerning "eye" that you old timers have. Having said that, though, I went back to load up the winners, and yeah, I think I get it. :-) Congrats to all the winners. And

As I stated in my comments for X Tech, I have found that this style, particularly the subskin, is continually becoming my fall-back skin when I need to just relax and not try other stuff. I love this skin. It's comfortable to use, small, unobtrusive, simple, useable, and clean? This is sure a winner on my desktop, so I'd like to think that it would be a winner here.
As for the previews being stretched out, unless someone uses a standard desktop size (640x480, 800x600, etc), their preview is going to look that way. And that's kind of ridiculous, considering that many, if not most skins are designed for the 1280, or 1024 at the least, resolutions. Oh, Stardock!!!! Are you listening?
I'm living through a major setback right now. Actually, a whole bunch of them. My boss, whom I just love, is dying of cancer. I spent a day and a half in the hospital two weeks ago, because of chest pain (not a heart attack, thank god). I'm scheduled for a chemical stress test on wednesday. I'm contemplating filing bankruptcy. My right hip arthritis has advanced to moderate/severe. Spinal stenosis is causing this crappy burning in my left leg. My cholesterol level is 236. I have a recur

When I downloaded the G-Pod windowblind from the GUI Olympics site, it was the first time I actually realized that I could recolor my WB so easily. Very, very cool. But, what I don't like is that when you recolor one blind, all the rest get recolored. Not cool. Then, trying to get back to the original was

Couldn't get teeth pulled... Joe, ever since I was 16 years old, dentists have been telling me that I should get my wisdom teeth pulled. Granted, my lower teeth are kind of crowded, but not so bad that my teeth are BAD. Dentists have always told me that some day, they'll cause me all kinds of grief, and I should get them out immediately. My res
Thanks Brian and Gary. I just got back to the discussions group after about a week of not being here, because of SDC problems. Frankly, I didn't have the time to do much about it till tonight. Anyway, I had finally got the skins and themes to work well, but then the discussions went bonkers. Every time I tried to open it, the program would shut down. Right now, after the , reboot, reinstall routine, things are working well. I will not open skins until I'm sure the discussions are done upda
