Verify your files, you will be missing three of them and they will be auto replaced. These three files are launcher files. From your post are you starting from the Icons on you screen? If yes and you are using steam start Steam from the start menu in the lower left, then go to the upside-down V in the lower right and select the Steam icon and start game from there. This may or may not work but in the years, I have been on steam starting the games this way
If the "Get Off My Lawn" feature is not really implemented, then it should not present players with the option to assert it. That just adds to the confusion. No borders huh? Didn't expect that. Really having a hard time getting my head around it. Missile ships that can fire 4 hexes, but no geo-political borders? Planet past Pluto that some believe is out there.
Now on a personal level I agree that there should be borders and a much longer period after a demand to leave. What I would like to see in Diplo is a "Don't call us we'll call you" option and all agreements I make with the AI last a minimum of 10K turns. Might get the first option doubt if I will get more than 50 (4 years) on the second.
I personally find this a major annoyance. Game prompts you that aliens are running through your sectors. You contact them and insist they leave. They reply and assure you they will. The aliens eventually leave. Then, 2 turns later they are running through your sectors again. But this time you can't reiterate that they leave again as it was too soon since the last time. ??? [/qu
I quit playing GC4 a few months ago for several reasons. One of them was this. During a game different dialogs will have a language other than English. I thought back then, well certainly this will get fixed quick. Yesterday I though I'd give it a shot once again, and guess what...still not fixed. To me this makes the game unplayable. There's no need for me to send a save file or even any more information on this. All you have to do
Let's discuss leader traits and icons. Remember back when the Leaders only had "game-impacting" traits? But somewhere along the lines, somebody thought it would be cool to add all these "background" traits. And then somebody thought it would be even more cool to not use any standard color or icon coding for these "background" traits. Honestly, 90% of the time I do not care about rather 'they were chased
Appears the game has been updated from v2.51 -> v2.6. I will need to load that save game file and see. Nope, latest fix did not change anything. The issue still persists. When I hit the "Eject All Ships" button, it looks like it tries to eject it as the icon briefly blinks. If I knew where the log files were located, maybe I c
When I look at the people who have gotten "canceled" over things they posted on the Internet, it's disproportionately GenXers. Why is that? I think it's the awkward timing. GenX grew up on BBSes and Usenet which were a free for all. It wasn't until the Millennials and later GenZ came on the scene that the raunchy, insensitive, or intentionally trolling behaviors of GenX got us into trouble.

Playing whatever the updated steam version is. I have really really tried but sectors just don't work. I have used every proximity, I've loaded the cheat console and just spammed maps over and over to see where people spawn and the reality is I cannot get consistently viable games using sectors. I am trying to play a medium map with binary sectors with somewhere between 10 and 14 empires but the vast majority of games
Yup, that's the one. I was not aware of the synthetic limitation that Gypsy just exposed. Let me take a look at it, I might have a way to fix that as well. Edit: well this is strange, using the Yor as template, if I change one of their trait to Vigilance, I do get the Xeno Geology line in my tech tree running my mod in the UP Bundle. So I'm not sure why you are not seeing it.
Aree you seeing xeno medicine?
Quoting Draver, reply 1 Yeah, I also have a mod that fixes it on https://www.galciv4.com/mods/manager in the bundle I maintain. Do you mean the UP bundle? I have the latest versi

That one took 20 seconds to get the joke. It is a good one though.
For the volume not really. I do not care for the audio in games and play with my own selection of music. Thus, my long-time solution to this problem is to turn off the game's audio all together. That I know does not solve your question however that is the only way I have found to eliminate unwanted portions of the audio.
No problem gypsy. You got me thinking about how to pinpoint issue. All's well that ends well [e digicons][/e]
I looked further into it the Xeno medicine tech is blocked by being synthetic so all tech after that would be blocked. You can see all the allowed/blocked techs by putting your cursor over the synthetic selection and reading them you will need to hold "shift" as there a
I copied my original Custom Civ and made them a Silicon race. Techs were there. Switched them back to Synthetic and no go. Tried all the other races and techs appeared. So the answer seems to be that you cannot use the Cybernetic ability on a Synthetic race. I guess this makes sense when I think about it. Synthetic races are robotic, so Cybernetics would be redundant.
The syn/cyber no
I can see these 3 techs in game (in the tree with xeno medicine). However the final one - "Immortality" doesn't have any effect listed. Hopefully Stardock will balance these unique techs and give proper description to their effects soon. Also, I'd like to see more uniqe techs tied to abilities. For example, a Hive mind ability currently doesn't have any at all, although possibilities are quite vast in this case. Edit: I think i'm
Is the Cybernetic Civ Ability still not functional? I'm playing a custom Synthetic Civ with that ability but don't see access to the 3 Techs it's supposed to unlock.
I am on the latest build and have those techs in a custom made civ. One thought I have is did you u

Naroon it saddens me to hear that. Green and grey eyes are my Kryptonite have to force myself to turn away. The only Green Eyes I cannot stare at are the ones I see in the mirror. Then I have a face for Radio.
