Most players just deselect Prestige unless that is the victory they are looking for.
Prestige is fast it has been that way from the beginning and has been complained about just as long.

It was in an early access build. It did not stay in for long. Not even sure it made it to the Epic release version. Yes, it would have been nice if it had stayed in IMHO.
