try tilting your monitor all the way back... if that doesn't do the trick, move it to the front of your desk and sit on a footstool or a big dictionary and look up at it for a greater effect. Low tech solutions to modern gaming eh? I've also discovered that if your mouse does not

*Swares* Laugh at me you will but you do know that because of imbalncment in the beta it is virtually impossible to win agansit them... Oh I know trust me. Theres alot of dead humans out there!

Hell, even if they submit bug reports that have already been patched all you have to do is quietly delete the e-mails on your end. Thats a very good reason to have a cut off. If 50 people sign up to the beta this week and start reporting everything they find without checking to see if its already been reported (and alot do) it eats up develop

Penalties is an interesting point. It would add more variation to a worlds value even among equal PQ worlds. A wider variety of tile graphics would be nice, but its an extra.

Something that's been bugging me since beta 1 is the range of camera angles availiable. You can rotate between a 90 degree top down view to what seems to be roughly a 45 degree isometric angle. I want to be able to get a shallower view so I can see further into the 'distance' looking more along the map plane. The current angle feels restrictive and quite often I want to be able to see that bit further without zooming out to the tactical mode. Would anyone else agree? Disagree? Is

Didn't GC/OS2 have a nine planet limit? The limit of 5 was understandable in GC1, but it doesn't look like that same reason applies to GC2. In the 3d engine, you have to fit each planets model in the orbit of the sun, the more planets you have the more cramped it gets, it would look ridiculous if they were touching. To get more planets in you'

Good Bye The Lowa Federation... The aliens were unimpressed with your silly empire name. They decided it would be easier to erase you from existence than convince you to come up with a better name. And if thats not the best arguement for getting universal translators I don't know what is! <img src="smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN=

You know some rolling video on the invasion screen would be good, just to liven it up and give some sense of action. By video I'm talking pre-rendered and looped, not depicting your battle but just 'stock footage' of drop ships, tanks, bombardment etc. For those who have played it, in the mission briefings in Dawn of War there is a video playing with in-game battle footage going on. The camera is flying across the battlefields giving a grainy black white image as if its a recon prob

Link The confirmed info says: If you preorder now, you will not get access to Beta 3. You will get access to Beta 4 which is due out late October. And as beta 4 will be pretty much feature-complete it should be much more interesting than Beta 3! (Beta 3 is looking good but is missing several key features like fleets, diplomacy, textures and most of the tech tree/hulls/modul

Okay, just a stupid question here: How does adjusting the cluster/density settings affect the number of stars in the game? Wouldn't that just affect how far apart the stars are from each other? Or does increasing the density improve the odds of the map having more stars overall? A map is made up from a square grid. Each square is a sector. La

i like to take a more simple aproach to this and imagine a blockade happenin to a a city or castle instead, and if u had a blockade one of them , then no more tanks or catapults (or any other type of military hardware) could be built. In World War 2, during the battle for stalingrad (which lasted over a year and reduced almost every single buil

If it's stackable, there's a darn good reason to keep it there Would you rather stack a market and a bank (18%) or two banks (20%)? The point is that there is no advantage to having a market instead of having a bank. The bank is a more advanced improvement so should be rep

I do like the idea of supplies/blockades, but I think it's too late in the beta process to add such a complex feature. Maybe GC3 will have it? Is it that complicated? It sounds relatively simple to me (no new screens etc) but I don't know.

Or maybe you could have a percentage if you can retreat successfully. This could be done by your admirals skill lvl versus your opponents skill lvl. For example if your ADM was lvl 2 and your opponent was lvl 4 then you would only have a 10% chance of a successful retreat. Or you was skill lvl 4 and opponent was skill lvl 2 then you would have a 60% of success. This could

I think what PC means is that once you can build the banking improvement there is no point in building a market. So the market might as well be removed from your options list to tidy things up and an upgrade option provided like you get for research labs.

Custom race screen is buggy (don't right click) but if you try again it'll probably work. There are some apparently random crashes floating about atm.
