Beta 4 docs in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

What sort of docs come with the beta version? I'm a long time GC player and should be able to pick up on it even without any docs. Thanks.

I've built some very nice custom ships on large hulls that have outmatched the AI's standard Battleships. Will the AI recognize this fact and adjust it's ship building accordingly?

Sorry if this has been discussed already but I don't see how to Search here. Thought I read somewhere that it will have STEAM like protection involving mandatory server contact before you can play. Say it aint so!

distance from the seat of government AFAIK, more a function of planet quality. elmo3

you don't want to bother with transporting extra food around in frieghters then have an empire level food bank like the monetary bank. Extra food, like unspent money, would go there and get redistributed abstractly.

The Civ series has corruption. The further you are from the capitol the more people will have their hands in the cookie jar. Can this be incorporated into GC2 in some way? An equivalent to the forbideden palace would be helpful for combating corruption as in Civ now.

Playing the latest version of AP and the game crashed back to the desktop. I was going through the planet list when it happened. No idea if I can replicate it or not yet.

Lucian I had trouble getting the update too. Stardock kept telling me my AP was updated but when I went back it still said I needed the update. It wasn't until I clicked on the AP line and then manually clicked on the Update button that I got the download. Elmo

think Stars! did this and it was in Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress . There could be a chance of missing based on distance and the possibility of destroying the payload with ships as it passed through space.
