Figured out after Windows 3.1 that chasing o/s updates was a hobby better left to someone else.

Thanks all, I wasn't sure and it's good to know. I hope OP understands now, It may have gotten a little confusing. Looks like we may have run into a little language issue at reply #3/6 with the ol' contraction trap - "can't" = "can not".
Ya it seems to work fine on XP as well. The thing I'm not sure of - does a person who just has MyColors and not WB seperately have access to the WB config screen?
Completely guessing here, maybe he's running some odd screen resolution that MyColors is having trouble with?
"What Cavan said" and you can go here to see screenshots of themes under both XP and Vista: https://www.stardock.com/products/mycolors/
"So have we decided who....." :) Only thing I know for sure is "It ain't me babe, no no no, it ain't me babe..."
Nice skin, thanks! Love the way you did the light reflections on the min/max/close buttons and the start button (love the start button period for that matter). Love the bouncing deally-bop-thingie in the start menu (dazzle you with my technical terms? [e digicons]XD[/e] )
I also just saw this current related thread that might interest you, in case you haven't seen it: https://forums.wincustomize.com/349930
I don't think it would matter - ever tried to restore an Impulse archive created with the right-click "download to archive" or whatever option if a version of the app isn't already installed? I just tried it with the new MyColors skin. Impulse created the archive, but the only way I could see to get it to restore/install/execute the archive was through Windows Explorer, and then it just opened up Impulse and downloaded it again and installed it. But I still believe that if it were not totally easy to access, it would have prevented exposure in me and others. I mean, I almost have to try not to find it. It's all about addictions/dependencies a
If I never made any mistakes I'd get nothing done at all! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
Also, I did see a BIG improvement on Dream cpu usage after updating the video drivers on my old ATI 9600xt. You might look for any video driver updates.
Applying the skin a second time ("on top of itself") sometimes takes care of my graphics belches.
Looks like you're going to need to send Stardock a support ticket here: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit Include a link to this thread, they'll want the details you've listed above (and probably some more). In the meantime, if MyColors at least got the wallpapers extracted you might be able to load them manually just as you would any other wallpaper on Vista.&
Thanks CarGuy, now I've got a some more nice dreams [e digicons]:)[/e] . But no, not the XP dual monitor solution I was shooting for but I can see where they might have an extra edge on Vista. I think Lantec read me right and you as well in your first reply. After going back through some postings to get the verbage right I guess what I'm really asking about is "Dynamic Dreams specifically written with dual monitor support" like Shirley referred to
Thanks CarGuy I'll have a look at the list...
Thanks guys. Neil's Ovals ran on both monitors for me. Couldn't get Muckyman's Fractal Strings to go on both monitors - could be my old bucket of bolts machine here, even the single monitor wmv's hit me pretty hard. Feeling like a cheapskate right now and don't want to cough up for a premium (yet), but at least it looks like it would be an option. I wasn't sure this thing would even pull one at all - there's only so much you can do with duct tape and velcro [e digico
I haven't had any luck turning up any dual-monitor enabled dreams and it looks like a few other people might be interested as well. Anybody know of any? (None of the demo's that came with DeskScapes for XP run on both monitors for me - should they?) Thanks.
I gather from this post that a dream has to be specifically designed to run on two monitors. See Reply #2. https://forums.wincustomize.com/344286 Now if you're saying that Dreams won't run at all with the second monitor enabled, not even on the primary, then that's probably a different story.
the rest (16 icons) are just the blue circles with the question mark
ObjectDock will do that if you move or delete the image files (like through Windows Explorer) that you are using for the icons because then it can't find them. Maybe that's what's going on? v1.90 535u is current.
I believe what you've got there is an empty dock with the default background (Vector Cell). It would act as you've described. Not sure what's happened to the dock you had. If you saved the old dock theme you can re-load it using the Object Dock config - Themes section, "Load previous dock" button. If not, then if you have a general system backup that was made after the dock was created, you can pull the settings from C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\L
Quick thought off the top of my head - If you're running an anti-spyware program, try disabling/unloading it before you open up Impulse.
It looks like you want to use Stardock's page here: https://www.stardock.com/support/ Top of the page is "Retrieve Serial Number / Latest Build" which looks like what you're after. Looks like you'll have to go through an extra step if you're email has changed since you bought it and you haven't already changed it with them. Do uninstall the version you've got installed now before you load the next one.
I used to have luck with the MyColors product page link version. Also, after you use either MyColors or Impulse to uninstall the version you have installed now, the actual Windowblinds files will remain. Manually delete them before you install the other Diamond version, either through WindowBlinds configuration delete or through Windows Explorer. You might have to manually delete the MyColors theme file as well, I don't remember if it remains or not.</p
I doubt that I can help you with this, but perhaps someone will come along who can. It will help them to know if you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista, and 32 bit or 64 bit. Also if you want to start a ticket with official Stardock Support, that link is https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit and include the address of this thread so you don't have to type it all agai
