Hello, Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, strangely I don't see that line on my system.
Unfortunately, I can not seem to find the variable as to why my system has the line while others do not. I was frustrated enough to try a fresh clean install of Windows 11 and still the issue persists. At this point I will probably just forgo using Groupy 2 for the time being. I guess we will see if anyone besides me has this
Thanks Pelaird, but that does not fix the issue on my pc. I went as far as to install a clean windows 11 and still no luck
When using groupy 2 with file explorer, I have a small white line that sticks out on the left top area under the first tab. This has been a long standing issue that has prevented me from using groupy 2
I believe any newly released software is only guaranteed to last 1 year. After the year is up a new release may be released and a new purchase will need to be made unless you have a active subscription. But there is no guarantee of a product being released every single year and I
Yes. It is for 5 active installs on 5 different computers. It is a subscription of 1 year and is set for a auto renew of 14.99 unless you cancel your subscription. If you cancel fences 5 will cease to function at the end date of your subscription. I.e. after 1 year has lapsed.
In the post above, you can see I am not experiencing the blue frame. However, I am experiencing an issue with the window control buttons. ObjectDock - 3.0.1.4; Windows 11 Pro - 22635.3350
Edit - That skin is likely due to windowblinds somehow, my default settings menu looks the same on windows 10 and 11
There is a faint line in the header of the ObjectDock configuration app that affects the use of the Window control buttons. The window control buttons don't respond to mouse-over below the faint line (see attached).
Interestingly the lines go away if you minimize and then maximize the settings windows after it first opens
I wanted to test ObjectDock 2.0 vs 3.0 if I check mark "view > show names" option in ObjectDock 2.0 and then install ObjectDock 3.0 over top of it the show names remains. However, the option to view > show / hide names is not present in ObjectDock 3.0's options. Overall I am probably going to leave this bug on 3.0 because the "show names" option looks pretty good on my windows 11 device. Perhaps, it should be reinstated?
start 11 / fences / groupy are explorer.exe extensions and hook to the explorer to function. Object docks seem to be more like the traditional widget (not 100 percent). I do not think anything other then memory is used for all of the programs.
If you completely exit ODM, re-open, does it then show?
That did fix it on my end.[e digicons][/e]
Overall I am pretty impressed with ObjectDock 3. I really like the tabbed dock and think this is a great direction to go in. I do have some feedback. Bug * ObjectDock 3 was not detected on my object desktop manager. I had to go into my download on the store page to download it. feature requests * shortcut key(s) to hide / unhide docks via the keyboard * I am curious if it can be possible to create folder portals within the tabbed docks in a future

For me, that and warranty voiding are the 'line in the sand' issues. When you suspend/void the signature verification, the end result can be far reaching and not good. Dr, I agree fully with Brad's point. It is well stated. I do know I have been around quite often with helping navigate the explorerpatcher breaking on a windows update issue. It is both true and unfortunate that people do not know what they are getting into with these methods. Realistically, right now the path of Windows customization is a bit muddy between these two methods. Even if we take windowblinds 11 as the safer method versus themepatcher, which it is, you also have to
The term hacking the registry is not equivalent to hacking software for illicit purposes. MS even makes re-edit part of the system tools.
To be fair to Naroon, I don't think his methods are actually illicit either. The stardock software user base has quite a bit of Windows tinkerers... Sure there are programs such as explorerpatcher, for example, that might not be recommended because it can sometimes break certain functio
Thanks Pelaird. that is a pretty good list you have started
For me, its a pity that most who like to skin their system don't like Start11 other menu styles. They only stick to Windows 7 style. While there are ways to skin, at least for now, Windows 10 and Windows 11 style. Those right click menu on the Start panel can be skin too. And since not much interest in it. Stardock might not moving to make those new menu styles skinable, since not much interest in the community. Thank you,
I think we're not all talking about the same thing here. What I don't like is the menues that stay white and no longer skinned and the flyout menu for i.e. control panel being so big (and white). And the registry key did nothing for the right click menu. That's big and white too.
I believe the UI was updated for users that are using version 2 of start 11. Additionally if I remember correctly there are a few different r
I can definitely see two different camps as far as Stardock users go. People either love start 11 or they love windowblinds 11 but almost never do people love both softwares equally. Using myself as an example, I very much like start 11. I also like having the windows 11 command bar and explorer tabs. But, whenever I have tried to use Windowblinds 11 nothing looks right. If I wanted to use all the massive amounts of artwork I would be better off using the windows 7 start menu and wind
If all you are wanting is the classic windows 7 command bar or windows 10 ribbon on the file explorer maybe you could try one of the many alternatives as well such as explorerpatcher or winhawk which are also compatible with start 11.
For you consideration 5500 vs 6700 If you were to upgrade your card to either the 6600 or 6700 the performance is a pretty nice bump. Technology in general had a pretty nice jump in that time frame. I do realize that the 7xxx series does exist, but it is easier for me to ignore because the jump in performance is no where near as great as the jump from 5xxx to 6xxx was.... Unless you
I'm more concerned with the card itself. I tried it first with no drivers installed (just after a format) then tried every version for that card (23.3.1 being the oldest) directly from AMD. The odd part is groupy 1 works fine. I can't say if its a W11/DX version issue with the specific card or If there's an issue with my card. Replacing it with another (much older) AMD card works but that could also be the fact that it doesn't support
If groupy is using DX for its drawing then it is indeed very GPU bound. Again I wouldn't know of course but then that's what the boards are for.
That is a decent guess, you would probably have to flag down Neil for that answer. My other guess would be the GPU's actual driver as Basj said earlier. A while back I had a Nvidia driver that had a conflict with Windows 11 and thus also caused problems with start 11. T
It looks like ObjectDock is currently being teased for Windows 11. Hopefully we hear more about this soon
I'll likely never go with nvidia. The thing is I don't really game. I used to play some emulated NES/SNES but haven't done so in years. I do play Clone hero from time to time though so meh who knows. I've never had any driver issues before (I can't even say that's what this is) but of course it is possible. Another issue may be in DX as well. The old 7750 likely doesn't support the newer versions and the other machine I tested on was
