This is true for anything 'new' to the market and has been so since the 1st cave paintings were sold . That is the beauty \ brutality of an open market, it does not care about feelings, only results. [quote who="Neil Banfield" reply="6" id="3928907"] This popup is in v1, not v2 and is purely to let you know there is a newer version of the software available for purchase if you wish. It shows up once upon reboot after installing the 1.5 update and only if you have Start11 set to tell you about updates. It does not show in the menu. It is worth noting that the popup effectively paid for the work for v1.5 as otherwise that update with numerous enhancements from the v2 develop

The only way I am able to reproduce this issue is when a fence is too narrow. Making the fence more wide allows me to have two columns. I am using Fences 5 on Windows 11. So if you are using another version of Fences on a different OS that could be why we are not able to reproduce your issue.

It looks like even Fences 3 is compatible with Windows 11. Why do you feel like you are being forced to upgrade versus just staying on the version that you already own?
[quote who="[email protected]" reply="2" id="3927815"] I can't find a separate Fences purchase other than Objects Desktop. I did download the programs separately back in 2016 and have fences 3..01 and FencesPro110 ( not sure what this is. If I can still install Fences 3.01 will it upgrade to 4.0 with my license??? I can't find a installer for Fences 4 meanwhile I will check on StarDocks to see if I can buy just Fences as a one
If you bought Fences 4 separate from Object Desktop then you will have a link to download Fences 4 in your downloads. If you only have it via Object Desktop then you will need to track down a Fences 4 installer. Stardock software automatically downloads installer back ups as you install software. You should be able to find a Fences 4 installer in your "download folder" located on your old laptop / pc.
Your arttwork looks great and keeps getting better the more you do it. Great work. We are aproaching the age of AI so it is going to be here to stay.
+1 from me as well. Basically what I am thinking is dual pane windows side by side. With this idea groupy would become two groupy's side by side (group 1 window 1 and group 2 window 2) This is my best idea as to how to actually implement this.
Start 11v2 will not be affected by Microsofts policy what so ever. This is because start 11 is an explorer extension and uses windows 11 parts. Other programs such as explorerpatcher function differently as they replace explorer parts built in windows 11's for windows 10's parts instead. The modifications to the Windows 11 explorer is what is being targeted with Microsofts changes in policy. However, the current blocks do not actually prevent windows 11 explorer modifications from happening l
To me it almost sounds like a hard drive problem. Specifically if you can't get past the lenovo screen. Did the harddrive come loose or die on you? Otherwise it could be a corrupted version of Windows itself. Fences is an explorer.exe extension. I believe it loads up a short time after explorer does itself. If it were the culprit I would expect either explorer wouldn't load or it would crash after a full boot up and log in
This version is ahead of alpha 1 correct?
Object Desktop creates a folder on your computer in your download folder located on your pc. If you still have a installer there it might help
You would need to find an installer for that version. I think Basj will be more help if you lost your old installer. If you still have an installer in your old stardock OD folder then you can probably uninstall gtoupy then reinstall it again.

All versions of your software remain at the version they were at during the time your subscription expired. If 1.51.1 came after your subscription expired you would need to resubscribe to get it
[quote who="jay33721" reply="6" id="3927167"] Yeah, I'm on Windows 11. I was hoping that Start11's enhanced taskbar would let me put it on the left of the screen. Very sad that it does not. I may end up just using StartAllBack, or simply just using the default Windows taskbar. For clarity, I'm not even interested in a Start Menu replacement, I actually like the Win 11 Start Menu (apart from the recommended section lol) and am simply looking for a way to move my taskbar! Go to your "downloads" under your profile. then under Object Desktop click "veiw individual downloads" from there you can download all of the object desktop downloads separately.
