Actually, the more I think about this the more distrubed I become. In the forums, some people have decided that if you don't play the game (not cheat by editing submitted games and resubmitting) they way they think you should play, then that is cheese and worse, it is cheating. You are giving these guys credence in their belief that their way is the only way. Go to the beginning of this thread and you will see what I mean. Some of us play the game because we like it. There seems to be some urban legends springing up that people who submit multiple games in one day are somehow cheating the system to be able to do that.

I don't believe that anyone is doing this, nor according to my understanding, would the Meta accept a resubmitted game and count is as a new game. Am I right in the last assumption?

One of the really great things about GalCiv is that it can be played at many levels. It is very hard to compare a game at one level with a game at a different level. Find the level you enjoy and play. Or play all the levels because of the variety and challanges each level brings. But don't feel bad about those that don't play like you like to play and don't compare your score that you get with someone else's score that was obtained playing a different way. Under the minimap there are buttons. One of them toggles influence, one toggles population and influence, and one toggles production and influence. There are other buttons also. Try toggeling these and see if that does it for you. Your color is dark blue and often looks like black. You can also display the minimap full screen and sometimes that helps. F9 I think is the function key for that.

If you go to the stat page, the ability list is normally up and is located in the top left of the screen. Scroll the list down close to the bottom and you will see an entry that says "Planet Quality" with a number after it. It is this value than cannot exceed 40.

Peace Phoenix, That was a great analysis. If your formulation is correct, can we get Stardock to verify it? Can we also put such an analysis on the Altaverse so that such an analysis is done automatically for an individual? Or, can one put up a separate site that dynamically does the calculation? There should be no mystery on how the score is derived - that should not be part of the game (the mystery, that is)

Send an email to Stardock and include your registration number from your CD and ask them to replace what ever email you registered with with the one you want them to use. That should fix you up.
