In v1.49(rc).002 I just finished my first game with this update. I got the message that I could not submit the game because scenarios and custom maps are not supported at this time. This was a normal game, not a scenario or custom map. I thought this was fixed in the last update. :sniff!: ~SDC~ [Message Edited]
Me me me
No, Theoden, you got it wrong. It's do, re, me :D LOL :D LOL :D LOL :D
Contructors should be able to help repair starbases I think
That is correct, but only in building out modules on the starbase that deal with repairs.
"The GROSS Empire" come and join us!!!!
Now that is a mod I would want to avoid. Any mod that causes you to change behavior is really not good for you :D :D LOL LOL :HOT:
Only Mods that kick the PQ over 40 will trigger the 0 score.
To be more precise, according to CariElf, the PQ ability must go over 40, not the PQ of any given planet. So, planets can go as high as they go, but what we don't know is how planet PQ is related to PQ ability. There must be some sort of algorithm involved. Also, what is not clear is if the PQ ability applies to a specifc planet, or is constant across the galaxy.
After reading through this thread, I think that I am the only sane one of the bunch :D :D LOL LOL :p (:( :notsure: :sniff!:
which ones are favored
I use them all. I like them!!! :D :D LOL LOL
How do you repair a starbase that has been damaged?
They slowly heal themselves, just like ships. You can build several modules that heal ships (and starbases) faster.
:D Well, I use all the MODS and I do rarely get an anomolous score. I have seen planets with a PQ > 100. I am not sure what the PQ ability was. I took over a planet that started out as 20+ and then received a PQ=35 bonus twice making the planet PQ > 90 when I took over and none of the PQ builds had been built yet. [Message Edited]
You likely had a planet with a very high PQ. Anything over a certain level is illegal, so mods that raise it up a very high percentage over its base value will get anomalous.
I would like to hear something from Stardock about what causes anomolus scores. We seem to be getting a lot of urban myths about why. Maybe they don't tell us because this adds to the mystery of the game, but it also leads to a lot of posts that are not quite true. I have seen planets with PQ scor
I seem to be having difficulties getting the map editor to function on my computer. Every time I load up a blank map, all I see is a blank star-field with no grid. If I attempt to place an object onto the map it comes up with an error message stating "Objects cannot be placed too close to the border". When I attempt to load a map, the hardware rendering fails, and the GPU-recoverer bundeled with ATI's catalyst drivers restart the GPU in software-mode only.
I noticed this
You might find the statbot interesting - gives your average difficulty as 6.85 at the moment.
Thank, I was not award of that site. Very interesting. ~SDC~
In the medals line, there is a shiled of various colors that indicate the difficulty played. Is this an average, a weighted average, or an nth degree polonomial with negative feedback :D :D :D ? Does anyone know for sure how this is calculated. It seem that I have been stuck on tough for a long time and haven't played tough for quite a while in any sequence more than 1. ~SDC~
Some comments about recent game in AP1.49M. I switchted all AI to random. Left difficulty on Crippling. Apparently the difficulty you get on random is not what you set on the difficulty setting. When finished, the game was submitted as Suicidal. But the score assigned was about 20,000 less than the same type of win at Crippling. 1. I thought suicidal has been eliminated 2. If it has not, I thought it was more difficult than crippling, and therefor should have a higher score,
If you don't spend enough money on spying on the aliens BAD things can happen to you..."randomly" of course
Even when you do, bad things can happen to you :D :D LOL LOL :D :D :sniff!:
Thank you for "M" my two saved "L" games submitted with no problems!!!! :D LOL
played on custom maps, nor with alliance victory option on, and NOR with maps that have the word "none" in their map key
I read her reply. I have none of these. ~SDC~
No, I tried that and didn't work
You're right, it doesn't work. Anybody have any clues. Has anybody been able to submit a regular game since the last AP Beta came out? >:( >:( ~SDC~
I cannot submitt any game under this new update. I can under the old one, but why this one is not working? Any ideas when the new patch that fix this problem will be out???
CariElf ansered this question in bugs for AP, but a subsequent post indicates that this may not fix the problem. She indicated that she does not know a date for the next Beta.
I usually get lots of freighters coming in from the minors.
I too usually get trading routs from the minors - often the very first one established. I also get good trades from majors for drones, cartography, and a few others, sometime such items as Dreadnaughts, etc.
But it will not help games that have the "None" string saved in the save game file.
So, If I fix the pref.ini file and replay the last few turns, will that result in a saved game that will submit? ;p
I have been out of town for the past week and have not reviewed all the responses to bugs, so please excuse me if this is a repeat again :) I just finished a game, not a scenario, and I cannot submit it because the system tells me that scenario submission is still in beta. I have submitted games before the last update, but none with this last update to AP. I now have two games I cannot submit because of this. >:( :( Has anyone submitted a game since the last AP update? <B
Mispelled was mispelled as he spelled miss spelled
I understand that I may have not spelled correctely, but the note was to zecryan, not to me. He did no use the word spelled or any of its forms. ~SDC~
you should use correct spelling yourself
I may be missing something here, but what was mispelled in zecryan's note? He was correcting "walk-throug" to "walk-through" - which is correct. ~SDC~
I also found that an alliance win was unsubmittable.
I too just found that an alliance win is not submittable. Where is CariElf when you need her? :)
