hello DChihorn make yourself at home oh and if you get icon developer by stardock, you can edit icons as pngs in photoshop or any graphics editter. [Message Edited]

all three of them have a large variety of clocks. also there are many other little applications like beatnik that all they do is put a clock on your desktop. however I have had a better experience with either desktopx or sysmetrix because along with the clock you can have other things.

I think it depends on what you are changing. Iconpackager changes the icons for the whole system user independent, while windowblinds is dependent on the user. More information on what you are trying to do would help us help you.

In my opinion Object Dock is better, but it does still have some bugs. Since it is being updated (while y'z dock isn't and can't be) those bugs should be resolved. A lot of the time the issue is with the docklets in object dock. They both do about the same thing and neither of them really does it better. however as I stated above object is being updated and its much easier to find support for it so if I used a dock I would use Object Dock.

you can set skinstudio to export tgas that you want to edit as pngs, and it accepts pngs and converts them to tgas for buttons and whatnot so you don't ever actually need to fiddle with tgas. To make a transparent tga you have to edit the alpha channel. If you don't understand that just use pngs.

Why was it uncalled for? And who's problem is it? the site's because they don't think your work fits into the standards they have, or yours because they don't think your work fits into the standards they have? I do believe that it is your problem and that wincustomize's moderators can moderate as they see fit.

depending on what you download several different things occur. Normally you will just save the object to a folder or desktop and double click on it and it should install or actually show up. Windowblinds should download automatically and get installed, and if you click on the tray icon that popsup right after you download it it will be applied. for iconpackager themes I have had the best experience with saving them in the iconpackager/themes directory if they are not a zip and if they are a z

I never undestimate you, you never gave enough information about what you did, and how you did it. My suggestion is to uninstall the service packs then restart. then go to windows update and redownload and reinstall them. that should fix any problem with those. When using any systemfile that did not come from your computer (example you downloaded the whole system file and replaced yours with it) you run the risk of it not working right with your computer. All computers are not the sa

I don't see anything wrong with your ratings. Granted I am not an admin so I can't see the actual ratings, but the end resutl of them. That being said, complaining about your ratings is entirely pointless. Its like complaining that you don't get enough downloads. The only way to fix it is to make better things that will get higher ratings or take off the stuff that has low ratings. or do both.

as I said before I don't know if changing the bootskin will effect anything because you have changed a system file, especially since I don't know what you changed. My kernel says that its 1.83 mb, and I haven't done anything to it. Insert your windows cd. don't run the reinstall, but instead explore the cd. go to i386 folder on the cd and find the file with the name ntsoskernel.exe, it might not have the same extension as the original, but I think it does. copy it to your c:\ dir

I would like to see all three: trillian, rainlender, and samurize, as I use all three (mostly dabble with samurize). And I really don't even personally see a point to the skinstudio widgets, but thats just me. I have never tried litestep or nextstep because I have never had the urge (object desktop gets out my customization tendencies).

hi what happens when you do what I showed you is you get the taskbar button image in place of the already made quicklaunch button image. If whoever made the taskbar image made it so it wouldn't work like that (size usually) then it won't work very well as a quicklaunch button. hope that helps.
