best of us can beat suicidial... Thanks!
Meglobob
Yea I have noticed this, apparently 1.2 has 'improved' planetary development to good. Not so sure that is true however, I have advanced spying on the other races and on some planets with free tiles they r not building anything. I am playing on suicidal lvl as well.
Update yr video drivers...
I quit playing Good when I found out about the instant Terraforming benefit of being Neutral Yea, neutral rocks big time, been playing good/evil recently, want to play as every race but when I have done this its going to be neutral all the time for me, that PQ bonus is just mega, mega mega...
@Meglobob Agreed but only if you yourself deliver the coup de grace. Cheers, did not know this, so leave one planet standing and let another race take the rap... I like it... <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 c
U do eventually get 'a tendency to conquer others' appearing as a negative in race relations with all other races in the galaxy. This can result in them all ganging up on u.
I have this too, think its a minor bug with 1.2?
In v1.1, there were special armor types for defense againsMissle, Beam, and Mass Driver weapon types U r getting your good races mixed up with yr neutral races...u galactic noob
Took me 25 mins of restarts to get that! Sad, I never restart. The precursor mine went from mythical (ie... non-existant) to fairly common, possibly too common. After installing 1.2, the first game I played got a precursor mine on the very
For instance last game I have played was a Battle of the Gods on Challenging in a Gigantic Galaxy. The word here is challenging, up the level for a harder game. Sounds to me like u mastered challenging level a long time ago. For a extreme game try suicidal, 1.2, no tech trading, 1 good race vs all 3 evil races in a large galaxy, everything a
I love how the Europeans are trying to act manly now that there is no Soviet threat. All through the cold war they begged and pleaded, "pleeeeeeease put your nuclear missliles here and aim them at the Soviet Union" and "pleeeeeease put tens of thousands of your troops here and point them at the Soviet Union". The U.S. should have let the Soviets roll through Wes
Strange thread, is this missile launch big news in the US? In europe its not making the news at all, not even as small news item at the end. Loads of countries test missiles all the time, why the big deal? Perhaps because North Korea could hit the western US with one? It won't, so long as the US leaves it alone and stops sabre rattling...
I think that carriers would be a great addition to this game. I just keep picturing a huge carrier dropping out of warp and a bunch of little fighters pouring out to attack a starbase. That's a cut scene from MOO2!
What if there were a ship componant FighterBay? Like in master of orion u mean? I do not want to see GC turning into MOO. Having said that however I would like to see carriers in GC, I think they would fit in very well in the game, good to watch in tactical combat too. So I 5th the motion.
You should really try designing you own ships instead of using the lame core ships. I NEVER use core ships except at the very beginning for the initial colony, etc ships. I never use core ships full stop. I even design a new colony ship at the start of the game. U can get a extra parsec of movement by doing this. In answer to your
Oh hell yes. Did you not see? asteroid belts. ASTEROIDS! Wow! Just had a brain wave, ouch, that really hurt. Inspired by the above plus star trek:enterprise plus starship troopers I suppose. How about sometime in the future (perhaps GC 3), a new weapon, that can move an asteriod out of its orbit and send it plunging into the plane
it should build some ships with 4 or 5B capacity, wait 'til *all* 10B troops are ready and THEN attack Yes I agree completely the AI should conduct the war this way, it should also fleet those with a strong fleet. But it does'nt and definately will not until 1.3 is released. Also to be fair its impossible for the developers to counter every s
purchase consume purchase again it's a vicious cycle they sucked us into. Yea I know, can't believe just how gutted I am about not getting a shiny box with it, its sad, really sad I know but I am still gutted. Capitalism has got its claws deep in me... How can I be so gutted about a bit of cardboard or plastic?
my homeworld on a new gigantic map Nice world there But Newcastle as the planets name?
Genghis Kahn (Nintendo) That wierd chinese game, Genghis Khan on the pc. Used to play it hot seat, 15 of us after roleplaying till some really sad time in the morning, drinking beer. Those were the days...
I will pre-order for $24.99, great game
maybe the reduction shown is the total reduction to the planetary production from sabotaging that tile? I got the impression, just the individual tile was effected. I guess it will depend on how many agents you
I just tried this out and I managed to play on Tough and win without ever making a ship! It was quite amazing! I played Terran Alliance, War Party, Abilities: 10% Planet Quality; 70% Population Growth; Moral Bonus. Well done, fun playing strategy eh... U r invincible when it comes to planetary conquest (attacking and defending), plus
Errrr... why did'nt I think of this? Good one Now I can get that 100 billion population planet a whole lot faster
I like the sound of things too. sabotaging tiles could be ok - imagine sabotaging that 700% manufacturing tile! and i guess you could sabotage multiple tiles on a planet too. will be interesting to see how it works! In the example screenshot, it shows a manufacturing tile being sabotaged, it says production from the tile is being reduced by 20%
