Sorry about the lack of paragrapths folks, they r missing from this forum presumed dead! Anyone tell me how to get them back? Never mind figured it out, I think...

Just read everything posted about the expansion, Dark Avatar, what does everyone think of it, now we know whats in it? Personally, I like all the new additional features. The one that really sounds awesome is this epic generator. Creating a story based on the events in the game sounds great, I hope u can post the story to both the metaverse to be recorded and perhaps a special section in this very forum. Good to see espionage improved but I hope u can sabatoge
I am happy with download, so long as its easy, simple to do and user friendly.
I don't understand u want to sell GC 2? No, can't get my head around that
My strategy when in a tough spot, is loads of tiny size ships fleeted together with a military starbase in support. I have had enemy races declare war on me because I am 'weak', supposedly, then attack with wave after wave of superior ships. In the military starbases sphere of influence, my fleets of tiny ships blast them to bits, taking few losses, which are anyway easily replaced. Two things result from this usually:- 1) My attackers military rating goes down so much that he is then pi
I have played the campaign all the way through and 20+ sandbox games. Personally sandbox is miles better and more fun. The campaign is restrictive, a bit of a slog in some places and at the end very unrewarding. The storyline is poor and no good cut scenes. Stardock has not really got the hang of a decent campaign game yet in my opinion.
Played a game once (forgot its name), used to rain, snow etc... in the background. Great for first 3 hours or so, then became so, so annoying. There was no option to switch it off. So I stopped playing. Come to think of it, I found the background scenes in the new star wars annoying as well. So no.
Well, that's nice to know. I have never seen two Precursor mines on the same planet, which is what I was basing my comment on. So, possible, just very unlikely. I personally like to reserve that kind of luck for my lottery ticket...
I have an easy solution, have your computer in the same room as a tv! I have the world cup on all the time while playing GC2. The number of GC2 turns played determines how exciting the football was, the Italy vs USA has rated as the most exciting so far... C'mon England, C'mon England... Roooooneeeeeeeeeey...
When I researched Xeno ethics, switched to Neutral alignment, it changed to PQ 47...cant for the life of me see how it increased this much. It was not only the change to Neutral alignment which increased the PQ. It also got soil enrichment, habitat and terraforming as well, which neutrals get as free, those also individually put PQ up. <b
Cause the Ai can be really, really thick sometimes?
Yep, now does anyone know the answer?
Loved Lords of Midnight and Doomdark's Revenge on zx spectrum, still got them both on pc emulater. Those 2 games ignited my love of TBS games but I think warlords on amiga made it into a passion. There was this funny chinese game as well, can not remember the name, u had to conquer china and become powerful enough to fight back the mongol hoard. Oh yea, just remembered, my favourite bit of Lords Of Midnight was how your commanders/characters would get, "The lord of dawn, single hand
Has anyone out there ever destroyed a trade good or wonder (u know what I mean) when mass driver etc... a planet? I never have. Once built they seem virtually indestructable. The only thing I have not tried is destroying a colony with one on. If anyone has managed to destroy one, do u get the option to rebuild it or is it lost forever?
I often get several techs in a single turn Creativity in action. Simply because the code for them was removed during the final days of development and the string to create them now points to a different bonus!<
A race that is more creative will be more likely to make discoveries that aren't normally possible (i.e. get a tech immediately) This is exactly what creativity does, full stop. This is official. End of discussion. To check what anything does u can go to the Wiki site which is kept upto date from patch to patch. U can access it by clicking on databanks from this site.
Why not put the money in more research facilities and do the research yourself? It is much faster that way, as well as making it more unlikely they will have a tech you actually need. Three reasons, 1) No free planetary tiles. 2) At suicidal level the AI virtually always has a tech advantage over u. 3) The techs I steal r usually from the wea

Meglobob, if you "do not wish to", then why do you? I just could not resist it. Took the post to be a bit of a joke, really. Do u really feel achievement when u hear a ping or a beep? Gimme a break... If it is your thing why not just go up and down in a lift, just imagine all those thrills you could have. Ping...doors opening...ping doors
b) it sounds nice, and gives you a tiny sense of accomplishment I do not wish to insult u but if this is true, u r sad, very, very sad.
When I reached advanced and I have more money than I know what to do with I sometimes increase the money in espionage to mad levels (500bc's+) on races who have techs that I don't. It may just be wishful thinking on my part but I seem to steal tech more then, so money still has an effect, I think.
Girls do play computer games, I have met a few, but they tend not to like strategy games or indeed any other game that lasts a long time. They ALL seem to love tetris, puzzle games etc... The majority of the female sex however seem to hate computers, wierd given that they love there mobile phones which nowadays is a computer. Anyway thats my view.
Something similar happened to me like this, playing Drath, the Altarians attacked and destroyed one of my ships for no apparent reason. My relations were friendly and they were my main trading partner. Even more strange after this sneak attack, I checked the diplomacy screen and we were not at war, still friendly relations?!?!? I think, the Altarian ship was on autopilot, which got confused with my ship in its way, so it just cleared a path. Friendly fire incident anyone? <br/
Great. Circled next thursday on my desk calendar. Thanks for your hard work in making a great game even better.
Once I have got to the point where I know I will win, seek to finish them off as quick as possible, does'nt take very long at that point usually. Never seen the AI recover from a losing position.
