What no Wal - Mart near you now that is strange! There r no walmarts where I live, England. Off course they own Asda but asda's better then walmart so that does not count! Paid 29.99 pounds sterling for my GC 2 and it was worth every penny. I only buy original software now, used to be the biggest pirate ever, b

If i was facing a human player, he would instantly declare war, destroy my unprotected starbases, and then ask for peace ; at least he would do something. But the AIs are only watching it happen without doing anything. What and miss the latest episode of that great show u r broadcasting at there homeworld? If the military did that u would have
How about Blind Exploration? Does that apply to the AI as well? The AI's seem to know where everything is, even when its not in ther sensor range. Is this so? Or am I just being parnoid about the AI beating me to planets/resources/anomolies?
There are random events that occur in which a "ranger" class starship is found This is your answer the AI did not cheat, it was just a very, very lucky AI. never had a precursor battleship <br
Its hard to make money if your evil and the "UN" passes a law that you can have only one trade route I don't bother with trade at all sometimes when playing evil. I raid and pillage instead its really great fun. When I play evil the other races don't gain from trade either cause I blow there freighters to bits as well, <img src="http://imag
How many watch Batlestar Galactica on TV????? I do. Fantastic show. Far, far better then the original. The new cylons r excellent.
U can still bribe a race to declare war on another but its really, really expensive. Even the Drengin take huge amounts of money/tech/goods to bribe, so much that I am not willing to pay it and this is when u want them to attack a race who is military rated weakest and they r the strongest. Mining resources r impossible to trade for as well, u can offer everything u have for one and they won't accept. Which means you after blast there starbase to bits instead and get it for free, how stupid,
Probably due to game balance. Its very easy to be pulling in 1000+ credits per turn even without trade, just from tax revenue and tourism. Economic resource mining starbases r the best gold mines in the universe. A economic bonus tile would just make it way too easy......
BTW the dread lord only get fleets if they capture a planet and get a logistics tech I agree, the dreadlords capture tech off u and your allies. They can form fleets. 1. You need high population worlds </T
Coming from such games as FarCry, Diablo II, Call of Duty, Warcraft III, and Half-Life - where storytelling goes a long way towards the overall experience - I guess was hoping for more. Completely agree with u, stardock need to improve the storyline in any future campaigns, hopefully with nice movie scenes like in Diablo II (one of my favs).
which, BTW, basically instructs the player to rush the DL since they will not win a protracted war with them The scenario instructions r a load of misleading rubbish in my opinion, play it your way. U can win a protracted war with the dreadlords. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-Tabl
There should be a medal for winning by all 4 ways. By military conquest, alliance, tech and cultural victory. Please make it so stardock!
Well done but NO!
It seems to me that I now know more facts about how that game works than GCII itself, even though I've never played MOO. U r so missing out! Find yourself a copy of Master of Orion 2. Its still utterly playable today, even through the graphics r dated. Its the daddy of all turn based sci-fi games. A true classic just like GC 2! I a
The dreadlords r not all powerful, they have serious weaknesses, u just after figure them out (have been listed in loads of other threads, search dreadlords) then exploit them. Sit back and think hard! The rush them tactic is just 1 way there r several other ways. They then just become a minor annoyance. The dreadlords r an elder race, they r mean't to be scarey, all powerful. U have allies who r there to help u, Arceans, Altarians, Iconians and Torians. One thing to note is play it on a h
In all my games I can see other races ships roaming through my territory and I do not have any option to stop them. Yes u do. U can blast it into space debris! I just usually wave at them as they fly on by <img src="http://images.stardoc
Er.....excuse me for butting in but.......did I miss something.....like 1.2?
It's just a game. Wrong. Its a way of life!
I like very slow. U still seem to get techs quickly with a lot of players but u can actually USE the techs instead of them being redundant even before u have built anything that uses that particular tech advance. The gameplay is better in my opinion.
would rather get the win and start another game Same here. I still think 45 is too long Way, way too long. The scoring should try to reward, skillful play in my opinion.
I know our beloved leader is on the ropes at the moment Beloved? Really? U mean like an Altarian loves a Drengin?
except I try and take all planets, no matter how low a PQ I avoid low PQ's because they effect morale----->less tax revenue------>leads to being poor. Higher PQ planets have a morale bonus, which means higher taxes, more money. <TD class="mb-
Does my head in when the AI's build a wonder, superproject on a bonus tile as u can not demolish/upgrade them. That's just wrong! U calling me a ugly retard Moonstruck? Wanna fight about it?
My way on large maps or bigger is as follows. Do not buy scouts, design your own improved colony ships and produce those. Buy factories rather then colony ships, a factory is 500 bc approx, a colony ship is 1,000 bc. After a few turns u end up with more colony ships this way, hence more colonies. I do not bother with scouts until the colony rush is over, let those colony ships scout for u. I only target PQ 10 or above with my initial colony ships and
