I'm not sure about the zooming relation to the permissions, but I know for sure that the tabbed docks won't zoom the icons, only the normal docks will. I'd make sure you're using the normal ones first. (Sorry if it doesn't help either!)

leeatsjt: Put that folder of icons into the ObjectDock directory in wherever it's located in C:\Program Files. Once the icons are in that directory, then OD will be able to read them.
Well besides Trillian...maybe Steam? *runs away in fear*
2) OS Customization I'm #11 point wise here, and if i put out an article more than once monthly, I'd be higher. I'd love to help out in any way possible
Maybe I should have #9 be "Make an original avatar first"
You'll need to enable the MCP through Stardock Central. Fire up SDC and go Tools > Settings and in the General section, make sure those two MCP options are enabled.
I'm sorry, but I can't help myself...shameless plug warning! If you're not interested in hacking your system (and it looks like messing up WB a bit too with those logoff/shutdown dialogs) then my GANT2 IconPack will do the trick too for your system icons (and then some even, with a bunch of customizable elements <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/
Super cool.
2004 was my first leap into this skinning business. For 2005 I plan to go in a much different direction...Here I’ll set a goal list for myself for this year, when I hope to really become a true SKINNER. :D Enjoy, and feel free to comment or critique as you please. 1) Make a WindowBlinds skin! (high quali
I'm 17 ditto. Teenage Wincustomizes Unite!
Any themes can be placed in the ObjectDock directory for themes, and then they'll be put in the dialog box for you to choose from. For me, the directory is C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Themes
Well they should work, but maybe you have the wrong option checked...make sure you have either "If the skin has animations defined then use it, otherwise use the one below" or the third option "Always use the animations below." You may have the first option checked, which won't listen to your custom setting.
Ahh, these would be the new shellstyles. First of all, I believe you have to have the Enhanced (paid and registered) version of WindowBlinds for the "top" links. Also, try to close all Explorer windows before you make the switch from one shellstyle to another (or just do it afterwards), since it needs a refresh to repaint the new menus.
on this note, i'd like to have AIM instead of ICQ (or any other messenger for that sake!) in our profiles!
Getting the products out in stores is a GIANT hassle...I've heard of some GalCiv horror stories (not so much with the Political Machine, surprisingly) with trying to market the game and distribute it in stores. If I can remember right...according to Frogboy, Stardock barely made any money off of the retail versions of GalCiv. Although profit/sales may not be the only factor, I'd still vouch that getting individual programs out in stores would be ve
Just to Butch...I don't consider myself a skinner yet. Once I skin my first WB and/or attain Apprentice status on the site for helping out, then I'll start to call myself one. But back to the issue at hand: I do like TSF's idea of double platinum and such. Here's ano
Awesome! I'll have to start skinning VERY soon!
The grey bottom is just the handle for your unlocked taskbar. If you want it to go away, right click your taskbar and hit "Lock the Taskbar." As for the icons, I've seen that happening if the transparencies are messed up but I'm not sure of its exact cause.
I'll be folding!
Hmm...what version of WB do you have, and what OS version?
Sorry to say it, but that's ObjectBar in the screenshot! I'm sure that look is possible in OD, but having the text like that is not.
Here's a little system tray tutorial that I whipped up quickly. I hope it helps! Clicking on the thumbnails will allow you to access the bigger pictures (I love ImageHost.org) 1) First off, get to My Docks by right-clicking on any dock or the dock's system tray icon.
I do believe that the KKMenu docklet can be configured to display the system tray, but it's a pain in the butt and it looks bad. However, OD+ displays the system tray perfectly, so you cooould get that
A few suggestions on the user ranks...I think the "User Shields" or these things: should have a few more classes to them. When the WinC beta first came online, the shields were only for Skinners, or Apprentices and those on up. Perhaps there should be different levels of the shields, with the current one being the lowest rank. This could leave some room for customization, but I think
Alright, let me explain the types of accounts. Stardock.net Account: This is what you use to register at Stardock's main site and to buy your products, like ObjectDesktop, OD+, or anything else. This account holds all the information of what you've bought, and it's what you plug into the very first "Object Desktop" register area in Stardock Centra
