Situation: Man A and Man B are at separate tables in a restaurant. Both me notice that the waitress has not charged them for the coffee each ordered. Man A thinks that not letting the waitress know of her mistake is the same as stealing (obtaining w/o paying) and stealing is against my god and I will be punished for the transgression and lets the waitress know. Man B thinks that stealing is wrong and that informing her of her mistake is the ri

I have not seen it yet, and I will relatively soon, but from the reports and the reviews I do not know what to think. Is it faithful to scripture? Yes and no. The basic events in the movie are found in the Gospels, except that events sometimes only happened in one and not the others, for example, the removal of the guard’s ear. Also the appearance of Satan. Yes, the temptation did occur, but the texts have that happening a good deal of time before the

First, let me say that I like American Idol. The people on stage can sing especially when they pick a song suited to them (she bangs, she bangs!). You have to give him credit for heart and honesty. It’s a nice show, but please, Mr. Jackson, enough with the Dog and dude. It may be acceptable and even hip (which I am not), but there are other words. Please.

One interesting question is what would we do if a major religion officially recognized homosexual marraiges? Would that change this argument? The "ones to be engaged" would have to show membership in the religion. Most priests I know "ask" you to take pre-marriage classes to see if you are ready. It would then involve the First Amendment (Freedom of Religion) aspect. However, I know of no religion, practiced in the United States, that by its doctrine allows same sex marriage.

A clarification: I found this in an article from the Slate website: “For one thing, there is an established trapdoor to the full faith and credit clause: The courts have long held that no state should be forced to recognize a marriage sanctioned by another state if that marriage offends a deeply held public policy of the second state. States have been permitted to refuse to recognize marriages from states with different policies toward polygamy, miscegenation, or consanguinit

Mine. Car lights. Headlights. I can see they're off, the switch says they're off, but I still have to turn them on and then off 2-3 times just to "make sure". Same thing with the dome light. It will go off when I close the door. It's night out, but I still look through the window to make sure its off. Jalbert

It seems to mean the when Onan was having sex, not self-gratification, with his brother’s widow he did not ejaculate in her but out of her and wasted the seed. Since he was not masturbating, it could mean that he could have had a child but did not. The “wasted seed” could be the potential child, not the act of self-gratification. Jalbert

Ralph Nader is running for president of the United States. Let me repeat that. Ralph Nader is running for president of the United States. Again. I am not sure, but how many states did he carry in the last election? Wasn’t it ZERO !!!! Does he believe that the republicans are going to drop their SITTING PRESIDENT in the middle of several armed conflicts and rally

Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, Über alles in der Welt... Sorry old chap, got a bit carrier away with the fuher... I mean fervor of the moment. You are quite. We must silence the Democrats. We must stop Stalin.... I mean stalling. It is only by silencing the critics of our beloved and benevolent leader that we can truly remain a democracy. And also we must spread our glorious view of democracy all over the world !!!! Weather they want it or not. We must remain v

Well, it's not sex, but there have been strong rumors that Leisure Suit Larry may be coming back (please do not ask who he is, I have this myth that I am not that old). Also for the PS2 is WWX: Rumble Rose. Sort of the WWE but only with women . As for mass market adult games, it won't happen soon, not with the uproar over Janet and the Vice City game ratings problems. The "Sims" may go that way, virtual yes, but still.... Jalbert

Trump, minimize sexuality? Minimize anything? Have you seen the eye-candy he dates, marries, divorces, dates.... I have heard a few interviews he has given. I do not think "small" is in his vocabulary. The Trump Tower, Trump Shuttle, the Trump Taj Mahal. He has truly improved his lot in life and he knows what works and what sells. I'm just waiting for the new state: Trumpania. Jalbert

George Carlin had a bit about the unknown stage of death called the "two minute warning". The person would get a message: "Two minutes, get your sh*t together." It was an interesting idea, no I do not want to live forever, but if after a certain number of years, when you are mature enough to handle it, I think it might be nice to know, when. Sort of like planning for a trip. You know your departure date, you get your affairs in order and go. I don't what to know how, just when. That tr

My basic question/problem is not marriage. OK: Senario: Mass. allows civil unions for Bob and Tom that have the same marriage rights as a Sue and Joe. The state of Alabama passes a law saying that it will not recognize the civil union of Bob and Tom. If Bob and Tom visit or move into Alabama. Will they still have the rights granted to them by Mass. If not what is the solution. Jalbert

I think Messy Buu has a point. I do not think there is a way to put marriage in non-religious terms. Atheists, agnostics and others not married in a church but they are still legally wed, with all the rights and responsibilities included. Now I think that the amendment could not touch upon the religious aspect of marriage, but it could hit the civil aspect. A civil union could only be between a man and a woman. While the super-majority argument is interesting and the congress did pass

I have a question. When you go to the Justice of the Peace, does he/she officiate a marrige or a state accepted civil union. If it is a marriage, does he mention "now in the sight of God" or words to that effect? Do we have any state official that does a religious marriage or do they just sign off on a marriage license? What legally is the difference between a non-religious marriage and a civil union? Does one grant better benefits? Could'nt we just make sure that the non-religious mar

OK, we saw Janet's breast but no nipple. Question: Why the frig are we surprised !? The show was put on by MTV. Have you seen the videos? How they dress? How the women look in the "dresses" at the Grammy's? I mean come on! I have no problem with the attire if that is what you want to wear. And I know that the vids are selling an image. Now, I am all for artistic expression, and the nude body is a beautiful thing that has impired great works of art, song and literature, but if you a

I was thinking, by listening to the radio stations and the religious stations I get an idea of what they want. The question I have is if we return to the "christian values" this nation was supposedly founded upon, how will the new leaders deal with the "jewish values", "muslim values" and the other relions that currently co-exist in our society. Yes, I know it is not a completely peaceful co-existence, but do you think it would be better with leaders who think you are an ungodly abomination?

I listen to the radio too much. A few religious right stations. I have too many questions about the "other side" that have no real answers, or that people do not want to discuss, or can't discuss without getting angry or insulting, or resorting to rhetoric. Was there ever a grand plan? If there was a plan, I do not know if it was a good one. It might have been at the start. But things happen, things change, undocumented features pop up. If this is still the plan, a project review i
