Go get 'em Terl!
Terl boarded his ship and gave orders to the crew for immediate departure. "We're heading for Altarian space," he told the crew. "And, once we are done, they will wish we'd never been there," he added with a nice touch of evil in his deep voice. Terl checked the status of his worlds. Hmmm, morale seems to be a bit low, he noticed. Well, if they don't want to be happy on their own, he could deal with that. He gives the orders for the appropri
Terl is having a nice time in the Prancing Pony this evening. There is a lot more space since the destruction and rebuilding of the tavern. The management has even booked a lot of new talent for shows throughout the week. Tonight's entertainment is by a small jazz group from the south known as "The Horns of Gondor". The group has hit the top 40 in Mordor and is looking for a crossover hit with good-aligned folks of Middle Earth. Terl ponders as to why Shalom has left the Fellowship.
I like that one the best too. Spellforce, can you make it: "Here kitty, kitty, this !" Thanks. :)
"who you calling a pussy?" or "call me a pussy!"
Or: The cat finds a new way to deal with hairballs. Or: "Here kitty, kitty, this!" Or: Negotiate with pit bulls from a distance!
They certainly have that effect on people...
I was running chaotic good on my last game and the Altarians chimed in at one point with "we have to rid the galaxy of evil, therefore you have to go" or something similar. They were assilimlated :D They annoy me greatly...
Glad to hear you're getting things straightened out Terl. Frozen pipes are bad news.
Luckily no damage at all. Turns out is was the fault of the guys who put the doublewide together; they did not isulate the water feed as they should have done. Just a minor inconvenience which is happily all fixed now :) Messed up my GalCiv playing though >:( with other obviously more pressing things to do....
I think something to go by your name on his webpage. I just resized the one in my profile for him.
Congrats to SF! Hey, very cool new icon for your empire. I like it. :)
As far as the custom graphic for Spellforce, we should try to find out what size he needs first. I'm thinking he wants a picture like what is on our profile page, but I'm sure he'll want a specific size.Whoops! Just read the Diplomats thread! I guess I'll find something and send it to him!
I did get in touch with him. He wants a 100x100 if possible. I just used the picture in my profile and resized it. I sent it as jpeg. He said he can reformat as needed. His email i
That's why I never ally with anyone. Every time I do, I'm forced into a war within two turns. I do it only when necessary to survive.
I thought I had learned that too :) Anyway, how much will the relations drop if I break the alliance and make peace with the other 2 civs? I am in a very good place to culture bomb a good chunk of the galaxy...
You should have it soon Spellforce! I just sent one off for your consideration.
As honorary members of the Diplomats, could Shalom Shemesh please supply me with a custom graphic for the forthcoming "honorary members page" of the diplomats website.
I saw this in the Fellowship Halls with respect to myself. What are the requirements for the graphic as to size format and such?
Good morning all! Finally got the pipes thawed on Friday. Took the guys about twenty minutes. Thank goodness the cold snap has passed for a while :) Gee, don't visit for a couple of days and the empire is all shook up again. Bye, Shalom Shemesh, good luck.
As honorary members of the Diplomats, could Theoden of rohan and Terl please supply me with a custom graphic for the forthcoming "honorary members page" of the diplomats website.
Theoden, do you ha
We had to take the baby to the hospital Wed. evening
I hope all is well and there is nothing serious. I won't be on too much either...frozen pipes >:( I am leaving work early to try to fix the problem. No plumbers available for days and days. Stupid northeast and Canadian air masses >:(
Nice talking to you Terl!
Same here, Nastavnik! :) C'mon workday get done!!!!!
Funny, too, how you can finish a game as "good" at all after exterminating an entire species with 8 terror stars :) I tried being a militaristic nasty last night in the game and found it hard after playing the "good guy spamming you with culture" for a while. I just did not feel like trying to take out the Drengin (my allies) last night. It would have gone on for a while so I took the quick way out :)
I managed to get two games in on Sunday and did not hear "you are not paying attention to me" one time! It works ;) As for devious and cunning, perhaps that is why I can only manage chaotic good ;) :) (That and the evil games I guess) [Message Edited]
She doesn't understand the burden of defending the galaxy
My wife doesn't understand it either. "Don't you ever get sick of that game?" I do the same, play when she goes to bed. The other trick is to play for a while, save, go do something with her, then sneak back to the game for a while. Rinse and repeat :)
Euhhh, one last question. FoTR, I know. But what does the CTF stands for?
Criminal Task Force :) It started on about page 53 or 54, with a storyline of warrants being issued (later cancelled), a news conference, an episode of Middle Earth's Most Wanted :) You should scroll back a ways to see; it is a fun bit of roleplaying :) [Message Edited]
Before his quest to find the ruins of Angband (hopefully it is not still in ASCII ;) ), Terl decides to see more of Middle Earth, and wander's in to Bag End Tour 'n' Travel to see what's available. Terl decides to go on the Ruins of Gondolin Tour . Lunch is provided, and in generous quantities, for hobbits do so enjoy their meals. Terl had thought of the Might and Fright of Mordor Tour , but thought it may be too much of a downer, and Khazad D'um was too long of a tour; he
Terl, are those Jedis loitering over there?
Yes they are! But they seem to mean no harm ;) Maybe the FoTRCTF should quest to find the ruins of Angband. Maybe we could find a way to put it to use in case we do have to exercise some warrants in the future. :)
a mild drink (as beer) taken after hard liquor ".
Of course there is always the technique of dropping the shot, glass and all into the beer and consuming it that way. Boy,
recreation facilities Shalom was dreaming about.
I was leaning toward setting the home office at those facilities anyway. Then maybe off to Paris for the spring time (it is pretty in the spring). Work from home is no problem! We would supply the necessary equipment for high speed connections and such and even a laptop with wireless in case you decide to play away from it all :)
I always play gigantic .... I'd need at least a day and a half between submissions.
Good point! We could always work a formula based on galaxy size. Who would really care? We'd be living off investments anyway :) :D We could even branch out into other games, or even be a professional beta-testing company :) Oh, we'd also have the secret wing, that would identify someone in need and we would take care of them anonymously. You know, watching the news
I like to play medium games too, large take too much time and my computer is kind of slow,
The one huge I played just took too long. I can finish the smaller sizes quicker and post more games. Did you get the UP thing fixed? The fix Spellforce has on the mod site and the one CariElf posted in the sticky thread works for me.
