I haven't had problems either, but I do not use SDC except to get updates. I have my homepage set to GalCiv though :) Got to have the priorities right ;) Cool! I also sold corvettes and turbo phasers to the AI after I had battleships (some had corvettes but not all) for a good bit of cash over time which I think has helped keep them behind a bit.
