OK, here's the plan. If I can win this stinkin' lotto, we open a company (it's income strictly from investments). We get the best computer equipment etc, hire selected GalCiv players (salaries and full bennies of course. And yes, it would be an international company so we can accomodate more. After all we would want a vacationing spot ;)) The company's mission? High scores on GalCiv. The only requirement would be to submit at least one game a day, enjoy your lunch and breaks. Attire stri

I am at work too ;) Don't tell.... There are a few of us that post from work, I think, so you are not alone. I too, would rather be home playing. :)
By the way, finally someone who plays medium too !!
I like to play faster games. I figure two games in the same time as a larger galaxy comes out about the same. I just like to play :)
And your cat does look a little on the dangerous side does he not?But I guess it all depends on whom he is aiming at
I like to think the cat is merely aiming at the rather nasty, large dog in the yard across the street. I like the picture. Whoever put
Well said Nastavnik, well said! You are right though, this is one of the friendliest forums I have ever been in. Shalom, please see the bits about veteran players not leaving. Think of the newbies too. :) Nastavnik: Your English is very good by the way :D [Message Edited]
I am sorry but I just do not see why that post is that bad. After the other day, why even read the thread and why would you need to post there anyway? I say, play, post games, post lightly and all will blow over soon :) That post is no reason to do as you are suggesting. [Message Edited]
I don't like it, too quiet around here,
I was playing ;) I added a small one anyway. Off duty now, so, off for a Torian Tornado with Greldon. Here I come Prancing Pony! :D
Terl, Theoden it is good to know people have been reading our game, we will have the first rounds of our new game up within the next few days I hope, I will post an article on the Jedi Website at some point tonight on how to get a succession game to work properly, possibly a bit premature .....
They are a good way to learn new tricks and tips. :) I like reading the one Sirian mentioned in another thread too. Hey, anything to help me play better ;) Good luck and enjoy t
Wonder what are they doing with all those empty bottles that we have in the wall?
Actually, they are full bottles on the wall! They are removing them, drinking the contents, and no mention of what is done with the empties. ;) If they are returnable for deposit we could use the extra BC's for research I guess or better security to keep pirates out. :)
Things were all quieting down at the FoTRCTF substation in Bag End after yesterday's flurry of activity. It was back to coffee and donuts for the officers today. Thank Manwe, they built the new Bag End Krispy Kreme! :)
Terl: That backstory is excellent!
Thanks. I enjoy writing, so more stuff may come :)
So, let's just try to move on and enjoy the game and the friendships we have here.
Agreed. This forum is by far the best I have been associated with. The creativity and enjoyment abounds in the various empire threads and truly adds to the entire GalCiv experience. :)
Wow, at 32 I feel pretty young!
Well, I still feel young now, just the calendar says otherwise. :)
Theoden>>Here it is. If it is too long, let me know. Terl started his career as a security chief for Intergalactic Mining and stationed on Earth. He made very poor decisions, while stationed on Earth, due to his greed and lust for power. His schemes in using mankind to further his ambitions having failed, Terl sold Earth to an intergalactic bank, and blasted away from the the planet to save himself. In his haste the ship was not prepared for teleportation and Terl drifted aimlessly
As long as you don't tell mine!
Never would think of it. :) If I could think of a way to play while at work, believe me, I would work it in somehow.
Terl, your turn to submit a backstory! I'd write something up for you, but I don't know if you want to add something about your Psychlo past and since I don't know anything about that I couldn't do it justice.
Working on it now.... pssst, don't tell my boss ;)
Maybe it would be a good idea to post a how-to once you finally get it running smoothly. It would help others that want to set one up make sure they are ready before they start. Seems like you've run into and are solving problems and your advice to others would be beneficial. I hope you get it on track. I have read through the other one that Sirian posted about. These are good guides for everyone as you can see different tactics and methods being used. Good luck! I know I
even longer to read the little manual what with that font size of half a pixel and me being old with worn out eyes.
Same here :) I downloaded the manual available here in pdf and printed that out. Much easier to read! Welcome to the Metaverse, from another older guy (49 in 2 months).
Of course its over... he joined the FOTR and brought a friend.
It was the other way around actually.... ;)
Terl >>> how many empires have you been in since you left Evil Empire?! you seem to switch every time i see a post from you!
Jedi to EoTL and back to FoTR where I started. I'm done now :) I should have waited before I joined any I suppose... It's not quite as bad as you seem to think though perhaps not the best ;) Just a humble warrior making his way through the Metaverse :D
When I submit both fields are filled in, the first with my player name and the second with my email. They stay prefilled each time I go to submit and I have had no problems. I can't say for sure if that is what messed yours up. You could always email CariElf and ask her. [Message Edited]
Shalom means peace ;)
Hey guys, see post #1403 above.
Excellent backstory! :D
With the merging of the empires we can only grow stronger in our efforts to stave off the SF :) Back to the Pony!!! :D
Well I think that 2 Empires seeking for The Light must join to be able to defeat the darkness.
The Fellowship has defeated Darkness before and will do so again :) We need to continue to look for the perpetrator, but it is obvious it was a ruse, a doppelganger, who destroyed the Pony :) Welcome again :D
Welcome to Shalom Shemesh who just joined! :CONGRAT: :D :D
I really do not understand why you would choose to disband the empire. You have been having a great deal of fun with it. I don't see why my leaving would lead to any of this. Other empires have gotten off to a slow start. I read how long it took Aldar to get going. The new Starfleet only had 2 in it the last I saw. And you have AmulekBird coming onboard at the end of the month. :)
