I don't know of a symbol that's more evil than a pentagram!
Only other thing that would come to mind is a swastika. I don't like the SF new logo either. It just doesn't convey what I think of when I read Special Forces. (Maybe I was in the Army too long) The new one is sort of creepy :notsure:
Thanks. I really should kick it back up to challenging, I guess. I wanted to get to where I felt confident with the tech tree and such before I moved up. Ah, the point is to have fun, and I surely do :D I learned alliances early are bad as the darned Altarians seem to like to provoke two at once and suck me into it. This time I just made sure folks were "close" and I held them there just in case I needed to take the easy way out.
means joking a joke.
Everyone knows that. We all use the :) to show we are kidding, or the ;) "And bring a drink for this guy too," Terl bellows to the serving girl. "But water it down a bit...no, a lot!" :) [Message Edited]
You just missed Seeker.
"Not quite," Terl said with an evil grin. "I've been doging him for a while as he dashes about from one reality to another." Terl tosses back the drinks and hollers for more. "And bring some food with it this time," he bellows. (I am rereading the book and I am thinking, Terl really does not belong with a little happy faced blue icon ;) I may have to change my nick. He really is quite the nasty SOB. I'd forgotten; been a lon
Yeay! I made the top 250
:CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: Good job! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
Have you considered merging with FotR? We could look into the possibility of a council seat for you (not up to me) and you and your overlords would be part of the greatest empire in the Metaverse!
Interesting idea here :)
Yay! I won and never fired a single shot! Granted it was a cultural conquest, but I set out to win without firing a shot at all. I only built four battleaxes and three death knights but they never even left orbit. Everything else was constructors.
Terl has returned after having found a nice packet of pipeweed. He starts to enter the Prancing Pony but hesitates when he spies a man wearing a white toga freeing a stone troll from a rather large sack over near the woodline. He snickers as the troll tries to backhand the white clad man. The troll scampers off into the forest and the man clad in white leaves. Terl walks into the Pony and spies Greldon in the corner. "Lo, Greldon, I have returned. Any seats over there?" he shouts a
Although at one time I was your most vocal critic, I also believe people can change, even a Psychlo
Gee, I hope this is because Terl was, erm, not quite nice, y'know the whole enslavement of man, selling earth to an interstellar bank, that stuff? :) Or are you speaking of my "new to the whole Metaverse" empire hopping in the beginning?
Some might say you’re simply on another infiltration mission for your leader
Umm, he confuses me sometim
Hehe its to bad the game doesn't take things like sneak attacks, or asking for attacks on good aliens as an 'evil' act.
Heck, it doesn't even count the six terror stars I used :D
dangling
Just this nasty little participle ;) Yes indeed, Terl the grammarian :) Terl mentions in hushed tones that he is becoming quite concerned over the weapons damage to his emperor (and, thus, the emperor's decided confusion) and this whole "chasing after spam lite" thing that has been going on. Of course, Terl, after many drinks, is loathe to discuss anything dogs may eat. Terl ponders whether a Psychlo ex-security chief would truly be welcomed
Of course I play with the sliders. I do tend to keep taxes low and perhaps I should up those a bit. I might be evil but I'm not evil enough to tax unfairly unlike real life
In the beginning, crank them high! Then back off when you start getting some trade BC's in. Don't worry about the ethics part (doesn't effect it anyway, the random events do). And Aaaberg said it well: Don't worry about it you will catch up. And, it is fun to watch the AI fight it out and
Terl: Watch out for the guy in the toga with the troll!
I know, I know.... :( Sad thing is, he thinks it is in my head. Geez, I know where I am and I know what I wrote.... Actually, it was the Torian Tornado :) Try one with a fine mug of mead to chase 'er down :)
Well there is this problem with cash
How high do you set your tax rate when you first start? I usually crank mine to at least 50% and watch morale closely. There are periods of stagnation at times but all in all production can be cranked out quite well. Are you adjusting your sliders on the economic screen at all? It does take time to catch up with the AI. [Message Edited]
So does the computer get a production bonus, or is it just better managment? Even though I'm playing an industrialist civ, I can't keep up.
They do start with some extra cash, and I think they buy lots of stuff. I have found, if you can stay alive, and out of fights, trade techs for cash to minors and swap with majors, you eventually catch up. It is hard to be on par "out of the gate" but you can get back in the race :) I was stunned the other day, when
WMD = Weapons of Mass Destruction... ;)
"Only through intervention can peace occur"
You guys aren't going to be looking for WMD are you ;) Couldn't resist, sorry :)
Terl if we keep this going we may change Theoden to our side. Or I to his? ;) :) [Message Edited]
Altarian wines, they are mighty fine.
I thought Jeremiah the bullfrog had all the mighty fine wines :) [Message Edited]
Hmmmm, why can't Terl blink?
No idea on this one :) I don't recall blinking mentioned, but I could be wrong, been a while. Of course I took great license to have Terl exist here anyway, since he did not fare very well in the book (not using the movie). But, he did behave very badly :)
Theoden I told you, he is showing the signs!!!
The only "signs" I am showing are those of merriment. I think the warping-in, or whatever it was, you did a few pages back coupled with the weapon used against you has, unfortunately Seeker Master, muddled up your realities a tad. ;)
Sadly D is a requirement, although the choice beverage is entirely a personal preference
So, kerbango would be ok then? :) Hmmm, even coke? I really am good at BB, check the Psychlo records :D
Terl you just mixed too much spam with Drengin on the rocks, look what happened, you did all over the Troll, now you are in trouble.
The troll is with you, somewhere where I am not. Terl is here in FoTR and you (with the troll) are wherever you think you took Terl to). Maybe that weapon they set off did do something to you. ;) :D [Message Edited]
