If I had to buy another copy as a gift or whatever, I would buy it from Stardock. With the quality of their work I'd rather ensure they get $40 rather than never get their promised piece of $16.

I am behind you Stardock! I originally bought GalCiv via retail but once I discovered the support you provide and the quality of all your efforts I decided to never buy your games from anywhere but Stardock. I have AP and have pre-ordered GC2 already.

The political party is chosen at the start and cannot be changed in game. The only way to change it is to hack the save by using GalCiv editor. Any way I look at this it is cheat not cheese. IMHO the editing of a save game or altering the parameters to force a good score to go through is more than just "cheese". :notsure:

When you archive a file like AP it will create a zip of it in a folder. Just burn that zip to a cd. Then if you have to reinstall, open SDC and select restore, point to your cd and it will restore the game. I've done all of mine, just in case.
