Man, it's great to be back. It seems nothing changed while I was gone, with the exception of a few new names representing the same polar differences. One observation tho, when did everyone who disagrees with the initial post get so thin skinned? I mean, if you disagree with what is represented you are welcome to file a response, but it seems to me that disenting voices are taking every post as a personal attack..........

Scouting recognizes no specific religion, there are optional religious commendations for every protestant sect, as well as Muslim, Catholic, Buddist, and Hindu. Scouting recognizes only the existence of a God, no particular faith is professed or endorsed. I do not want to get into the nature vs nurture arguement, but Scouting looks at homosexuality as a lifestyle choice, and a morally deficient example for young men. My personal o

Scouting, as apposed to the lack of any other character training, is by far the least worst option for young men. As to the exclusion of gay leaders, a private organization has the right to bar any group it desires, and adopt whatever moral code it wishes to expound. Reverence, and the acceptance of any omnipotent diety, is about as agnostic as you can get, and the moral code utilized by scouting is based on the "golden rule", a universally acc

I can't stand the current misuse of the word" issues", by the politically correct. People have problems, misunderstandings, failures, and people can be wrong. Relegating those situations to the catch-all definition of "issues" is the ultimate in avoiding the responsibility to recognize, acknowledge, and correct. This is not a "no-fault" life, people are supposed to be accountable for their actions, when they are reduced to "issues" wh

In light of the recent ACLU attacks on Boy Scouts, and the ordering of the cessation of military support for the Boy Scouts, I felt it appropriate to share the text of a speech I recently gave at a Scouting event. I saw a bumper sticker at the Camporee this weekend that really made me think, it said, “ America is returning to the values that Scouting never le

Is anyone genuinely surprised about the melee's of the past week? I have figured out what really instigated the brawl in Detroit, those professionals atheletes decided to follow in the footsteps of Dennis Rodman, obviously auditioning for the WWE, complete with illegal moves, submission holds, and assaults on rabid fans. They could not p

Bush won, deal with it. A true majority of Americans, for what ever reason, prefer Bush, CNN polls state that only 60% of Kerry voters actually voted for Kerry, the other 40% just voted against Bush. Thanks to that majority of voters we will have a conservative Supreme Court, ( did I hear Rehnquist breath a sigh of relief?), judicial appointments will finally be made thru out the country. Islamic Facist can have a demon to rally against -

Tex, I have a daughter who has been deployed to Afganistan twice, and Iraq since 9/11, granted she is in a support role, but we constantly worry about her. With that said, I can only begin to understand your concern, fear, worry, and regret over the election results. I've read some of your past post, and I complement your well reasoned arguements, however , I tend to disagree with most. Whatever can be said about our, yes our President,

As a former reservist (SCARNG) who trained right beside the 24th INF ( '80-'86 )I am so ashamed of these gutless, selfish, poor excuses for human waste, that the proper vulgarity to call them cannot come to mind. My recollection of the military utililization of reserves is that of "round out", during Desert Storm my old unit ( 1/263rd Armor ) was a FAD 3 attached to the 24th Inf Div. they were sent to the NTC and mothballed by politicians, never de

Hello again. I've been away from the computer for so very long, I hope all is well with everyone. I'll post some strange and new articles soon, I got a lot of material this summer working at Camp, substituting middle school art, and becoming the baby's daddy's daddy.

Well done, a little wordy, but well done. I asume you have been out of the car biz for a while, as commissions are dwindling to the 18 to 20% range market wide, and used cars are the only profit centers for the sales department. I must question the warranty charged to the gross however, wouldn't this be a backend or F&I charge/profit ? I am so glad I escaped the trap of car sales, moved into management, and then into ownership.

I understand that Ted Turner owns like 3/4ths of Montana, I wonder if we got the Arab countries to by that land from Ted, and then pay for the wholesale removal of every Palestinian to that land, and then rename the state Palestine, if that would help ? Maybe if it were the Israeli's that were moved ? It's comparible in climate, resourses, and a much larger area ( only would miss the beaches ) This idea has about as much chance of bei

Wah, I am sincerly impressed with your theological education ! Where I may feel your thoughts may slip more toward " Black Helicopters " I must concur with your analysis and quasi-agnostic beliefs. As to Anti-semantic ( semitic, whatever....) I feel it is the purpose of the New Testament to point out the error of the Jews, and their failure to recognize the savior, it is this failure that prompted the formation of Islam, and which fome
