JTB, listen to Chas, let it go and get out! This job almost killed you before and now you're being physically intimidated by your bosses, what job is worth that? I understand wanting to fight, but first you have to take care of yourself. Sometimes you just have to remove yourself from a situation. Get yourself some peace and get out! You'll thank yourself later. [ and Chas, of course ]
GM has updated this topic in the "virus-like" thread. I need to type faster!
Goodmorphing, I guess I need to type faster! I just revived the IE/Mozolla/Opera security thing in a new post. As soon as I submitted it this post reappeared!
I know this has been the topic of a couple recent threads, but it seemed worth revisiting. Now even the US Gov. is recommending people steer clear of IE, or at least disable Scripting and ActiveX. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=74&e=3&u=/cmp/20040702/tc_cmp/22103407 I know some folks love their IE, but it would seem prudent to at least do your security-sensitive browsing [ banking, bill pay,etc...] with Mozilla or Firefox. You can easily import all your IE Favorites r
I work for acommercial magazine printer, so I get to read all kinds of pubs. Lots of car & motorcycle mags. One of my favs is Military Heritage [ very well written historical accounts] I also pick up various PC mags at Newsstand.
http://isc.incidents.org/diary.php?date=2004-06-29 Story starts on Slashdot.org Even if you don't want to use Mozilla/Firefox or Opera for your daily browsing, you might want to use it for your online banking and bill pay. [Message Edited]
http://news.com.com/IE+flaw+may+boost+rival+browsers/2100-7355_3-5250697.html?tag=cnetfd.buzz More recommendations for non-IE based browsers.
If you prefer IE then more power to you. You should use whatever works best for you. IE has been shown to have a lot of security flaws. If you haven't run across any of the malaware out there then you're luckier than a lot of others. Even if Mozilla/Firefox didn't have better security a lot of people would prefer it for the better features. And if you've used Ebay then you've had to put some financial info out there, and stealthing and blocking ports doesn't block hijackers or some of th
https://www.wincustomize.com/msgboard.asp?BID=WC&id=287119#287695 Check out link in #15 I thought I had issues with IE, but I think this guy takes the cake The browser debate seems to be going on in multiple threads.
I've been using cable for almost 2 years and I've never had any problem that couldn't be fixed by resetting the modem [ they recommend doing that once a week or so]It costs about 45 a month, but I don't have to pay extra for MSN etc... and they even improved the speed significantly a few months ago [2473mbps on CNets speed test]plus I get a decent package discount with my TV cable
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A6746-2004Jun25.html Scroll to bottom paragraph and you'll see CERT recommending people switch to non-IE browsers that are less vulnerable to hijacking, etc... I really like Opera's speed and tab features, though I've been using Firefox 0.9 lately. I have had no trouble with this or most any other site[ with Firefox]. Sometimes I have trouble DLing from WC in Opera, for some reason instead of DLing it launches Winamp. I also like
Now it's just getting mushy in here China's going to be jealous yrag!
Koasati, and Yrag..no fair posting while I,m still typing
There was a similar thread recently. I thought someone said in there that Stardock Central will only launch in IE. There was also something in there about even Mozilla and Opera browsers being susceptible to new some hijacker variants.

Maybe you should post them on DeviantArt and get some comments there.

Nothing wrong with IE....if you don't mind security holes you could drive a truck [or browser hijacker] through! I also think you have to be at least 18 to use Eharmony!
maybe DWatson should Google for a woman
Didn't mean to be such a smart-ass earlier. I think Kona said it, I love my ATI card, but support leaves a lot to be desired.
...and DW should be here any minute to tell you that Google is his friend...
Seems like you would want to ask that before buying the card
