... Awesome. Carcassonne is great. Digital version or board game? A few of us here at the office play the boardgame version every day at lunchtime.
The boardgame. Unusual for me I got so addidicted I went out and bought two of the expansion packs straight away. :D The digital version for the PC version doesn't seem to be available any more for purchase. :(

What's this? This is terrible news!! Rant, rant, rave, rave. Impulse grrr. My dog ate my homework. Stardock is responsible for high oil prices. Blah, blah, blah... ;P :D Thanks again for the effort and know that many value Stardock's after sales support. Definitely looking forward to 2.0. I've said it before - you guy's rock. :CONGRAT:

The title says it all. When you select the use of the hardware mouse cursor it does do the right thing. However once you've quit the game this option is not remember. Has anyone else notice this? Also in windowed mode the cursor doesn't allow you to go past the top of window or even move it - the only way is to use the hardware cursor option, but this is a pain given that the option is not remembered between games. I know its a minor issue, but I really hate the oran

In an ideal world digital distribution pricing should be universal; the problem is middlemen and skimmers gouge consumers because they can. From my perspective if nothing has physically changed hands then how can there be a price difference? As mentioned, Steam charged a different price for Call of Duty based on region. This is a deal breaker for digital downloading if it continues. All that said whilst Gamersgate, Steam and now Impulse offer products at the same prices regar
Localisation. If you aren't in the US you can't buy it. I'm from the UK.
Same here. This is what I hate about localisation. Its a way for countries to hold its customers to ransom. Here in Australia the prices for software are terrible. I stopped buying locally when I saw what's available from overseas. It also looks like Stardock's Impulse allows for charging at localised pricing as well. :( Its a shame, now I've got spare tokens and nothing to

Congratulations :D. As usual the 'bad' in the review is no multi-player. Gee I wish they'd put a bit more effort into discussing their reasoning for no multi-player being a bad thing. It just comes across as just a missing tick box - not something that's a mistake or a true criterion for associating with bad.
Edit: Seems to be that my registration is gone for this game. Want to play the game again
:SNIFF!: It seems my registration expired for it too (never new this could happen). Anyway Stardock you're a bunch of teasers, but thanks for the sneak preview. :D I will just have to wait with the rest of you people to play it again. Oh well it just means I'll go back to playing those other dull games such as GalCiv and Sins. ;P
I wasn't aware of anything relating to a small group of testers. I just booted up impulse and there it was. I just had a look at the version number: 0.90.006 with a date of 5/23/2008 so there must be at least someone else with it now. Indeed. I should clarify that we do have it available for a handful of people who have TGN accounts. But we have no formal beta program.
Thanks for the info. I'm really loving the game and it's a great job given the tight
I sent an email to stardock sales. The sales department will send a reply promptly. Unfortunately when I have emailed them in the past their prompt replies are that they do not know anything. I told them someone had downloaded a beta via impulse but I could not access the beta. Here is what they replied. Hello, A public beta is not yet available for Political Machine 2008. The person you speak of may be part of a small group of testers. When a public beta becomes availab

This is just plain strange. I've been playing it for the last few days without a problem. I'm not sure why I've got it before anyone here has; I pre-ordered it the first day I saw it listed on TGN so maybe its based on the processing of orders - not sure. One thing I have noticed is that in Impulse the icon for political machine 2008 is the TGNET icon. Possibly someone goofed and I'm not supposed to have it just yet. If that's the case, well I must have been lucky. :D The

I've been trying to get rational rose to startup under windowsblinds but to no avail. I've tried the 'exclude' function under "Change the look of an app" but it does not work for rational. The only way I can get it to run is to unload WB first, boot up rational and then boot up WB. However this doesn't apply all of WB skin changes. Is there a more effective way of doing this or is this bug that cannot be fixed?

Download a copy of [link="http://storage.stardock.com/files/Impulse_setup.exe"]Impulse[/link], then provided you've pre-ordered go to the "My Games" tab where you should see "The Political Machine 2008" select it and install.

I'm not sure of the exact day it was released. However I was able to download the beta via Impulse on the 24th of May. Have a look in the games tab of Impulse.

Congradulations :CONGRAT:. You guy deserve it. The only thing that I found irritating was the complaint for no multiplayer. It seems to be a common annoyance with reviewers. But hey its still a reasonable review. Also did anyone else notice that the text review alluded to galciv III - I think they might be mistaken about it being next in the pipeline.
