$10 and you don't need to dlc music, you play the music you have (or can get) Great great value for money. Best value since Orange Box.

THQ do a lot of things; I certainly hope you aren't planning to other things; simply because they are. (Like cutting off digital distribution to entire regions) And asking about Soulstorm doesn't answer about SR2. I'm sure THQ will give their reasons about SS. I want to know your reasons for SR2 expansion. So I ask again: The main game costs 2 token(or $19.99). How can an add-on pack(Which isn't a standalone) be the same price?
Hey guys - just a heads-up on the down-low that TotalGaming.net will have the exclusive on the Space Rangers 2 expansion pack. More info should be available in a couple weeks.
Good news. Hopefully it will only be one token. Since SR2 itself is two. :)
Nope. If you want to play to win with 'quality over quantity' then play WC3 with it's incessant hero micromanagement. This is a 4x game.
Exactly. A 4x game, which means quality over quantity should be a completely valid option. It's how my higher experience, more advanced units in Civ 4 can handle themselves against greater numbers. It's how in GC2 I'm capable of having smaller fleets boasting technological advantages. Visible advantages. It isn't just unit tier

Thing is... Smaller frigates should be trying to use their movement vs the slower hulking cap ships. I understand two cap ships sitting infront of each other exchanging blows like final fantasy. But a smaller frigate that is faster and boasts greater maneuverability should be trying to fly circles around the cap ship. Hell, just like the strike craft only slower cause strike craft are even faster! Pew pew pew!

You know. This just makes me think of having an RPG game within the Sins game. Think about it. The AI empires already provide a perfect platform for a dynamic universe setting that go on about their daily business. Something like Space Rangers 2! Imagine that in Sins skin. Mmm!

Are gravity wells from two planets supposed to overlap? I came across an asteroid area and was very close to a planet. The planet's gravity well overlapped on to the asteroid one. First I thought, ok, it's just one big well. But that wasn't the case. Even though both wells were on the same level I still had to make jumps to each one. In addition this made fleed co-ordinations and building structures very fiddly and difficult because it more often than not couldn't distinguish w

Yes, I always play it. It's THE TBS. Why? Because aside from being solid as standard, it's the most moddable game out there, which lets the community create nearly every possible feature ever wanted in a TBS game. I won't be surprised if it pops up a mod which replaces my sci-fi fix that GC provides. And yes, Fall From Heaven is a brilliant example of how much more you can get from a TBS game.

Can it be possible to build in a variable meter in game? There are times I want sped up, times I want slowed down. I've noticed I can only choose when starting a game. Or have I missed something. (Note, last beta I played was 1, I'm redownloading for the latest, new PC and all)

Thankfully those are the only movies to worry about. The sensible solution is to turn them off in the options so you never have to deal with them when starting the game again. The game itself works fine. I'm on Vista Home Prem.

Well hopefully when the time you can comment comes, it's "Here is the expansion!" SR2, best space game ever. Love the dynamic galaxy. I just wish the big budgets provided such joy. Boasting all these fancy schmancy graphics, horrible UI and can't ever be a ship bigger than a fighter, boo. (I know SR2 has similar ships but with their sizes and cargo it feels like bigships! )

I've been on a sort of mini hiatus with the beta and I'm currently downloading it all over again so I hope I'm not out of date but this was in my head all summer. I was just interested to know though... Are the ships(excluding fighters/bombers) still sitting stationary and exchanging weapon fire? Are there any thoughts of the ships having their own AI 'maneuver' routines when engaging the enemy? Or is it unnecessary given how hits/damage is calculated? I like

I doubt it. Just like GC wasn't some copy paste of the Civ concept. Although I will say this to SD. Space terrain! See! It can be interesting and provide strategy to the player! It just shows how moddable Civ is, which means, I feel, that we can ourselves truly create what the best is. (I'm already liking aspects in the mod which I always wished GC would eventually do, and there are still some aspects I'm confident can be modded in from what GC has!)

Right now, I'm playing Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. The greatest sci fi strategy game ever. So ahead of its time that I [i] still rate it over GC2 and Vanilla Civ 4. ( I exclude Civ 4's mods because with the SDK it can essentially get all the features AC has and thensome) But the fact that vanilla Civ is still essentially playing catch up to AC's brilliant features is a testament to how amazing AC is.

Impulse buy! It's an ok game, but when you can have SR2 instead...ack. Anyway, I like having a crew and I'm really curious how big of the ships I can have. Cause you can have fighters! Hopefully I can captain a capital ship.
