Well I did a complete uninstall, SR2 was originally installed from SDC so it always went into TGN. I managed to get the expansion to install over the SR2 directory so you can launch it from the client. But I first downloaded and archived SR2. On restoration this put it in the c:\program files\cinemaware\spacerangers 2 folder. So when I went to download and install the expansion and since it always goes into the directory I just mentioned, it makes for a proper installation. So
Because other countries can't seem to make video games. Perhaps the best way to beat region locking would be for an Aussie or Brit to make a worthwhile game, then discriminate the crap out of us Americans. How sad is it that the best foreign video game I've ever played was FRENCH?!?!
GTA was Scottish!
Hey, I found that I have to manually move the Reboot installation into my SR2 installation. Even when I try to direct them to the same place, Impulse refuses to install Reboot on anything but my C drive. (I keep telling it to put it on D)* Because of the movement, sometimes Impulse will go back to marking the games as "available" instead of installed. *Extension of that is, SR2 gets put into a TGN folder inside Stardock while the Reboot will go straight into a C
Exactly what I want, chirmaya. One thing I've always felt was missing in TW was the option to play a single general/character and diving in with my fellow soldiers. This game seems to wonderfully bridge the rts/action together. I really want some strong 4x elements in the singleplayer but I think expecting that is a long shot.
So far from what I've read in the features thing the single player will just be a series of maps as if you were in some tournament. Sins felt more mp than sp. Infact, SP just felt like a mp game with AI players sort of making that mode redundant. If the idea about going back to it is just lots of tournament style maps then I'll probably pass. However, if it is under the greater scope of some freeform, unscripted, strategic campaign(like top level GC2) then I am in heaven.
why do americans always get blamed? everyone be happy and move here. there are lots of houses on the market.
You don't have Worcestor Sauce flavoured Walker's Crisps.
Good stuff, since I am on Vista and want the best out of Impulse!
It's similar to Steve Jobs suckering into people saying he had no choice. Of course he had a choice. The fact with itunes was that thanks to Fairplay it fueled iPod sales even more. The stat he used to try and make it look like very few ipoders used itunes was taken with very basic assumptions! Bad Steve! The internet is supposed to be the freedom of information! Region locking isn't just limited to software! It is being implanted into everything! Anyway, as I've been told. So
Gifting works! Gifting works! Now just need a gifter!
What I would like from Stardock is support for greater payment options. For example, I am from the UK and I use a Switch/Maestro card.
Localisation. If you aren't in the US you can't buy it. I'm from the UK. :( I guess Europeans will have to get it from 1C Publishing, who have yet to respond with much efficiency.
15 megs? Impressive improvement! This version is currently taking 53megs. I am on Vista, if that matters.
I guess it will be along the update of Impulse, which has yet to happen, also.
It is a shame, though, since the single player crowd doesn't have much meat to bite into. I too was hoping for greater meaning in diplomacy and so forth. Just doesn't feel entirely 4x as say, a game like EU is.
United Kingdom doesn't need localisation, we can tolerate the American spelling! (just about) :)
Greedy that I want all three phases in one go.
I only have one token left too. Can you please allow us to convert our tokens to discount coupons on Impulse? I think that'd be really swell! edit: It is a shame on no tokens, only way I can pre-order since my Switch/Maestro card isn't accepted at the store! I was hoping to quickly buy 5 more tokens to pre-order Demigod but now I'm stuck with the one.
Yes all digital versions are SF free. I imagine the add on will overwrite the original exe and free you from starforce.
I have one token left, it's apparently 2 so I guess I better use it on something else. I did use it on KODA but it wasn't Vista compatible. Something TGN needs to make clear! :P
The Space Rangers 2 expansion is coming on Tuesday! (June 17th)
Yarlen...thank YOU.
Just have to wait I guess. My thought is 1C is too busy on King's Bounty. And Yarlen hasn't said much cause he's hard at work so we just have to wait, as much as it hurts!
Must keep faith. Surely Stardock also see that SR2 is third best selling game on TGN, after the likes of twilight and Sins.
This feels like the game that never is. (:(
