ShoZan - I want to go there and live in George Washingtonville! I grew up in Utah, a state that has probably never given any of its electoral votes to a Democrat (I don't really know that, I just know that every year since I was old enough to pay attention they always go Republican), then moved to NC which is actually pretty Red as well. However, I happened to end up in this little bubble of ultra left-wing thought. It has been an interesting experi

Dharma - Thanks for the hug for Jessica. She is doing a lot better. I think it was just a passing thing because yesterday her name was moved down on the board from S to S- (for behavior) because she and one of the girls who was being mean were giving each other a hug. (Yes, the real teacher is gone this week, her father passed away, so you mainly have a TA and the student teacher in charge - they don't quite get it yet). Things are looking up for h

Today I opened up my Political Meter widget , and to my surprise saw that www.electoral-vote.com has projected that, as of today, Bush would win the election 311 electoral votes to 223. *Gasp* Why is BlueDev so taken aback by this you may ask. Well th

Leprechauns! Oh man, that just reminds me of a funny, funny guy I used to know. Of course, most of the reason it was funny was because we were there. Perhaps I will tell the leprechaun story someday. Dharma - that just about made me spit all over my computer. That is too funny. And I am going to admit it righ here. I am going to be annoying and keep bumping this thread so it stays in the active part of the forums until Sunday has

Ahoy lads and lassies o' JoeUser. T' time quickly approaches for us t' let our true pirate selves be known. 'Tis right, me mateys! Sunday the 19th is National Talk Like a Pirate Day. Little boys and girls who have all grown up have yet another chance t' pull out their cutlasses and swash some buckles on this joyous day o' days! Now, talkin' like a pirate

Another one I would add to that list is 1st Page 2000 by Evrsoft. It is an amazingly full featured and powerful HTML editor. I don't know more than the basics of HTML and how it works, but have been able to use 1st Page for some pretty cool looking stuff. The best thing about it is that it isn't a WYSIWYG editor, but has lots of automated tasks. You can modify fonts, build tables, etc. using dialogs like in Word or whatnot, but what you actually s

Wow, sounds like there are some fantastic things going on. I am very excited for this new stuff that will be rolling out. I have played around with WinFX for shadow purposes, and while they look cool I just haven't found it to be practical for every day use. I may soon, but I have to admit that my current hardware is getting a bit old, so that makes it an issue on my end. I must say though, the aero shadows that have been done look pretty cool. I enjoy these reads Brad! Tha

Whew, good to know you caught them Zoo. Sorry about the whole nose thing. Didn't mean to get them there. I will give you a bit of a warning this time. Here come some points (and an insightful for the fun of it). Ready? Okay. *toss* There ya go.

I actually was so intrigued by your post that I did check it out last night. Fantastic little freeware program. By biggest drawback will be using the mouse exclusively. Doesn't control as well, but I will play around with it and see what pops out.

Hah, great review Dusk411. I didn't know you were a journalism major (though that doesn't surprise me in the least). Let me just say this about your writing style: I come read your music reviews even when I abhor the artist/song you are discussing. That is a good thing. Trust me. And since I have already made my own feelings about Avril known on one of your previuos reviews I won't here. Just wanted to say keep them up!

I too am in agreement with you here Jill. I have become so thoroughly disenchanted with the whole political scene. I just pretty much ignore any posts in the politics section these days. I haven't seen anything productive happening there.

It is intersting you mention that Janders. I have noticed that girls seem to be a lot more cruel to each other. Boys fight, show off, act stupid and bully, but it often isn't as long lasting and doesn't have nearly the same undercurrent of cruelty that I have seen in girls. When I was mad at another boy we would just punch each other and then forget about it, not start some smear campaign against the other person. Dusk411, although not all

My daughter was very quiet this afternoon when I picked her up from her friend's house. I asked her what was going on and all I got was some silly answer. I could tell there was more, but I didn't want to push. It was a rough evening. She told me "No" more times than I can recall. Fortunately I didn't get upset. When I asked if I she would lay down in th

So...you used to paint and draw a lot ?.....What is stopping you now...? Sadly enough, it is one of those things that I just let slip once I was so "busy" taking my college prep classes and stuff in high school. I still doodle all the time. Silly little things mostly. But I have fun with it.

We had some friends who had one family in the original Sims that were also psychopaths. They would invite people over and then kill them. Their goal was to get a large, haunted graveyard. And it worked very well. Ghosts wandered the halls all the time.

The Crusaders (is it okay if I shorten that to TC from now on?) - Unfortunately I can only see the second and the last entry. But what I can see is fascinating. I used to paint and draw a lot, but haven't done so in years. I really like your use of different color schemes for the works I can see. They have a great feeling to them. Thanks so much for sharing.

Sorry to hear that Brad. As someone excited for the prospect of a new version of Master of Magic this is disappointing news. Hope things work out.

Wow, look at all these mean parents. Oh, wait, I am one of them. Oh yes. A card carrying member of the "I Hate You!" club.
